Child and Youth Counselor for Silkeborg Municipality (Maternity leave cover)

We are seeking a child and youth advisor for a permanent position of 37 hours per week. In addition, we are recruiting child and youth advisers for maternity leave cover at 37 hours per week. The positions are for our district teams.

We are looking for you who are focused on ensuring the child's voice and creating positive changes through high professionalism and strong relationships.

In the Child and Youth Counseling, we work together – with each other, with the families and with our partners. We believe that families are experts in their own lives, and we work in a solution-focused and inclusive way to create lasting changes.

As a advisor with us you will play a central role in the work with children, young people and their families. You will become the ongoing point of contact who creates continuity in the case process. In addition, we work in duos where the law and/or the case requires it.

Your tasks will include

• Counsel and guidance to families
• Treatment and follow-up on notifications
• Preparation of assessments and child-focused investigations
• Initiation and follow-up of supportive interventions
• Preparation of the child’s plan and youth plans
• Involvement of the child throughout the case process
• Initiation and follow-up on placements

• Is trained social worker or social mediator – preferably with experience from the children and youth sector
• Has knowledge of inclusive methods such as Signs of Safety and ICS
• Thrives in a high-paced environment and sees professional development as a natural part of everyday work
• Works systematically and independently with an eye for good public administration practice
• Is good at building relationships and meeting children, young people and families with respect and curiosity
• Has a focus on multidisciplinary collaboration and inclusion of networks
• Actively contributes to a good working environment and team spirit
• Has experience with or knowledge of DUBU
• Has a driving license – required for the job

About the Child and Youth Counseling

In the Child and Youth Counseling in Silkeborg Municipality, we succeed together, with one another, with our partners and not least with the children, young people and families around whom it all revolves.

We are about 100 employees divided into 7 teams, all working with the authority tasks concerning vulnerable children, youths and families, as well as an administrative team and Family Care. The 7 authority teams consist of our reception, 4 district teams, a special team and Team Holistic Intervention.

We are organized so that one advisor remains the through-line for the family. Our reception handles screening in new cases.
