Shooting Leader for Training and Education,

Do you enjoy teaching and developing others – and do you have a strong shooting-specific background?

As a civilian shooting leader in the police, you join the group of shooting instructors and leaders, where your main task will be to train and instruct the police district's operational staff in the use of the police service weapons. Additionally, you will serve as a shooting range expert, where you will deal with the approval of shooting ranges.

Your tasks will include ,

• education and training in the use of the police service weapons, initially as a shooting leader and eventually as a shooting instructor,
• approval of fixed and temporary firing range facilities,
• administrative work and written documentation of performed work in the police systems,
• handle ad hoc tasks that arise in connection with the position.

About you

We are seeking a profile with solid professionalism and experience within education and instruction in the use of firearms.

You,

• have a relevant education either from the armed forces or civilian – thus you can complete the police shooting instructor training ,
• have relevant experience from the armed forces or the civilian sector,
• have experience with planning and conducting shooting training ,
• work in a structured and holistic manner,
• communicate confidently and professionally – both in writing and verbally,

It would be an advantage if you,

• have knowledge of, or experience with, the approval of firing ranges.

Organization

You report to the section head for Operational Planning and Training (OPU).

The section is part of the Duty Center department – which comprises the Duty Center, Operational Planning and Training, and the Incident Leader Section.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is a two-year temporary appointment dating from the start of employment.

You will be employed on individual terms. The starting salary for the position is 398,000 DKK per year. In addition, pension contributions amount to 15%.

If you are already a civil servant, there may be an opportunity to retain your civil servant employment.

As an employee of the police, you are covered by the state time-use agreement.

You must be able to be cleared for the classification level SECRET and maintain the security clearance throughout the employment.

You will be stationed with the Funen Police (Fyns Politi) with provisional service in OPU, Odense Police Headquarters.

The position is available by agreement.
