Job Description & Summary
Do you want to help Danish companies solve complex accounting-related challenges within the Danish Financial Statements Act and the international accounting standards (IFRS) as well as selected company law and foundation law issues, restructurings, mergers and spin-offs – and at the same time take advantage of the latest AI tools to strengthen your advisory?
Then we have the perfect job for you in Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Services (‘CMAAS’).
Make a difference for our clients together with our motivated team
In CMAAS you will, in collaboration with your team, daily help our clients, which typically include medium-sized and large Danish companies. You will work with modern AI tools and technologies that support effective data analysis and accounting advisory.
We are a department in growth, and we therefore need new colleagues with different competencies. You will thus be able to work with the professional areas that interest you most, and at the same time take on a role in connection with project management, sales and client relations. Our tasks span a wide range, and there are good opportunities to choose an area you want to specialize in while gaining a broader advisory scope. Our clients demand advice within several interconnected areas, and you can help deliver that.
The position involves many facets of your role as a consultant, but it is largely centered on solving accounting challenges, particularly within IFRS, the Danish Financial Statements Act and possibly corporate law and foundation law. You will e.g. help advise on:
- First-time application of IFRS/IFRS conversions
- Preparation of accounting-related client notes
- The accounting and corporate-law aspects concerning mergers, spin-offs and business combinations (M&A)
- Purchase price allocation within IFRS or the Danish Financial Statements Act
- Preparation of accounting manuals for companies
- Improvement of annual reports
- Use of AI tools for data analysis, quality assurance of accounting data and streamlining of accounting processes
- Foundation-law issues, including the interaction between foundation law and accounting rules
We do not expect that you can handle all areas and issues from the start. We therefore expect to have to teach you a lot. You should, however, have a desire to delve into new professional issues, acquire new knowledge and bring it to clients.
We focus on your career development and a good working environment
It is important to us to create the most developmental and flexible framework for everyone who builds a career with us, and as a new PwC member you will get a Career Coach who closely follows your development. Together you ensure that your competencies are used and developed in the best possible way on relevant projects.
We are part of a larger department that together enjoys social events and focuses on a good working environment. You will here be part of a department of about 20 enthusiastic colleagues who are passionate about what they do. We work in an open and inspiring environment, where we work closely together and typically in smaller teams for each individual task, with the team assembled according to the needs of the clients and projects.
You can have a broad external contact surface, as you will be in close contact with both our clients and our colleagues in the audit departments, the tax department and other advisory functions at PwC. In addition, you will have colleagues around the world who are ready to help you and your team with specialist knowledge.
How we imagine you create value
We are looking for a new colleague who will create value and help make a difference. We imagine you will do this best if you have some of the following qualities:
- Have completed a master's degree in economics with a substantial element of finance and/or accounting subjects
- Have completed the HD program and are pursuing a master's degree or have completed a master's degree and have a couple of years of experience
- Are comfortable with Excel and possibly have experience with VBA coding, and have an interest in new technologies and digital tools
- Are good at making presentations and presenting them to clients and colleagues
- Are good at communicating complex topics in an easily understandable way
- Speak and write English at a level where it is a natural part of your daily life
- Are interested in contributing to business development and enjoy working with relationships
- Have the drive and willingness to engage with complex accounting issues and their solutions
- Are open to continually learning and applying new AI-driven processes and technologies in your work
- Are transparent in your communication
If you would like to train to become a state-authorized public accountant during your career, we would very much like to support it, but it is by no means a requirement.
Grow here. Go further.
As part of PwC you are both part of a market success and a place that is nice to be. It is in the interaction between the two that trust is built, you learn new things and develop. Together with your colleagues you help create innovative solutions for business and the society we all are part of.
