Close to the decisions in the project organization

As Commercial Manager at NCC you will be a key person in the work on a large pharma construction project, where high demands are placed on overview, communication and commercial understanding. Reporting to the area director, you will work across the project organization and in close collaboration with the client, consultants and subcontractors. The tasks include administration and follow-up on contractual matters, including contract and financial meetings, changes, extra claims and potential disputes.

You will also contribute to financial follow-up through an overview of budgets, costs, invoicing and production calculations. Purchasing and delivery plans are followed closely so that the right agreements and commercial terms support both the economy and progress. At the same time, you will play an important role in identifying and managing risks and opportunities when the project needs to be recalculated and adjusted.

Internally you contribute to developing project-specific work routines, onboarding project participants in contract terms and financial systems, and creating coherence between the project and functions such as law, finance and procurement.

Commercial expertise with a view to the whole

We imagine that you have a relevant higher education, for example as an engineer, lawyer or economist, combined with solid experience in contract management, financial project management and procurement from larger construction projects. It is central that you have worked with construction projects within the pharma sector and understand the particular requirements that complex technical construction places on documentation, coordination and commercial management.

Experience with negotiation and project management is complemented by a strong understanding of construction processes and their business contexts. You are used to collaborating closely with the project management and can function as the area director's trusted sparring partner. In addition, you have a solid legal understanding, experience with claim handling. You work confidently in Excel, can prepare visual presentations and communicate complex information clearly in both Danish and English.

As a person you are structured and responsible with a natural ability to create overview in complex processes. You work methodically, have a good financial understanding and a sense for both structure and details. Collaboration with technical and commercial professional groups comes naturally to you, and in dialogues with various stakeholders you manage to combine assertiveness with the necessary flexibility. You thrive close to operations and at the same time contribute constructively to the project’s overall decisions and progress.
