Companion sought for a resident in Fredensborg

Would you like to make a concrete difference for another person while also getting a flexible part-time job?

We are looking for a companion to a citizen in Helsingør.

As a companion, your most important task is to support the citizen in participating in self-chosen activities outside the home and thereby contribute to an active and autonomous life.

About the citizen

The citizen is a young man in his 20s.

The citizen needs safe guidance and help in new surroundings, as he handles things in familiar surroundings.

The citizen thrives best in a stress-free environment, where things are taken at a calm pace and one thing at a time. The citizen grows from positive recognition, especially in situations where the citizen tries new interests or challenges.

The citizen is interested in, among other things, attending concerts, meeting friends, a trip to the cinema.

The citizen appreciates a companion who is calm, patient, stable, welcoming.

Tasks

The companionship may include

• Walking and excursions
• Café and cultural visits
• Social activities

The activities are agreed with the citizen on an ongoing basis.

About you

• Is reliable and responsible
• Is good at creating safe/secure relationships
• Respects the citizen's wishes and self-determination
• Wants to support a person to an active leisure life

There is no requirement for a specific education or experience. The most important is the right personal chemistry and interest in the task.

Working hours

Planned in collaboration with the citizen and can be scheduled on weekdays after 4:00 PM and on weekends, and can vary from month to month according to the citizen's wishes, but about 15 hours per month, and only in relation to the citizen's wishes.

• Ongoing support and sparring from LOBPA
• The position is part-time and paid according to the applicable collective agreement
• The citizen covers all expenses related to the companionship
• Employment is through LOBPA in accordance with the National Agreement for handicapped assistance in the citizen's own home (FOA and Dansk Erhverv)
