In Artelia's Bridge Department you will be part of an engaged team of 18 bridge engineers and project managers, who work with bridges and civil engineering works of all sizes and project phases. We solve tasks in both existing constructions and new developments and work with a wide range of materials, including concrete, steel, timber, composites and fiberglass.

Our clients span a broad spectrum and include, among others, the Danish Road Directorate, Banedanmark, municipalities, contractors and private developers. It provides a diverse project portfolio, where we work with everything from smaller local civil structures to larger infrastructure projects and multidisciplinary construction tasks.

Bridges are an important part of the infrastructure that connects society. Therefore we collaborate closely with colleagues in, among other things, rail, traffic, geotechnics, environment, climate adaptation and construction management to create robust and value-creating solutions for our customers.

The Bridge Department is in continued development with a strong project portfolio and exciting opportunities ahead. As Competence Manager you will have a central role in developing the field of existing bridges and civil structures, strengthening professional quality across projects and contributing to the development of both customers, colleagues and business. Your profile

We imagine you are an experienced bridge engineer, who is motivated by developing people, professionalism and solutions within existing bridges and civil structures. You have a strong technical foundation, thrive in the role of professional sparring partner and are able to translate your knowledge into value for both projects and colleagues. At the same time you are keen to contribute to the continued development of Artelia's field of expertise in existing bridges and civil structures.

Your primary task will be to develop the field across projects. At the same time you will participate in selected projects as a technical lead, professional sparring partner or project manager. In addition we would like you to:

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a bridge engineer and solid experience as a technical lead
• Documented experience with existing bridges and civil structures, including condition assessment, load-bearing capacity, renovation, strengthening, transformation or service life extension
• Experience with professional sparring, quality assurance, knowledge sharing and developing colleagues
• Strong competencies in quality assurance and cross-disciplinary coordination
• Experience with interdisciplinary projects, preferably for the Danish Road Directorate, Banedanmark, municipalities, contractors or other infrastructure owners
• Willingness and ability to take a visible role in developing the field of existing bridges and civil structures
• A collaborative and solution-focused approach, where you build trust with both colleagues and partners
• Commitment, professional curiosity and desire to help shape the direction of future solutions in existing bridges and civil structures.

Your primary tasks

• Set the technical direction for existing bridges and civil structures
• Drive competence development, knowledge sharing and professional initiatives across the department
• Be a professional sparring partner and mentor for the department's bridge engineers
• Contribute to quality assurance, auditing and development of methods, tools and workflows.
• Follow the professional development in the industry and ensure that new knowledge is translated into strong solutions and high quality in the projects
• Contribute to bids and development of Artelia's services for existing bridges and civil structures
• Participate as a field leader, sparring partner or project manager on selected tasks involving existing bridges and civil structures
• Collaborate closely with clients, colleagues and other disciplines to develop the best solutions.
