About the job
Do you want to help set the direction for the sports and leisure area in Hillerød Municipality?
Are you passionate about working with sport, facilities development, volunteering, associations, and bridging gaps? Can you ensure progress, collaboration, and development in cross-cutting projects, and can you create results in a field with many different actors and interests? Then you are our new consultant in Culture, Sports and Leisure. About the area and the position
Culture, Sports and Leisure plays a central role in the municipality's work to strengthen communities and opportunities for participation for citizens of all ages. The area includes, among other things, cultural institutions, events, volunteering, folk high schools, sports facilities and cross-cutting development initiatives.
In Hillerød Municipality we have a particular focus on creating good frameworks for and strengthening the culture-, sport- and leisure sector. At the same time, we are a significant actor in bridging across other areas in the municipality, e.g. school/youth and day care, health and social, and facilities-, urban development- and climate areas.
We are seeking an engaged and development-oriented consultant of 37 hours, who will take on various types of tasks. It is important that you have the following qualifications
- A master's degree, either in sport or social sciences, and experience within the sport, associations and folk education area.
- Project management experience and the ability to drive and coordinate strategic, complex development projects.
- Experience from a politically governed organization – ideally a municipality – and the ability to contribute to political servicing, including preparation of case materials and decision proposals.
- Good communication skills – both spoken and written – and the ability to independently drive tasks and processes forward.
- Strong aptitude for working with analyses and data and the ability to support the development of facilities, activities and offerings for the municipality's citizens.
To succeed in the role it is important that you
- See new opportunities and be proactive
- Have a good strategic view and overview
- Are good at forming and entering into new relationships and networks.
- Have the art of cross-sector collaboration
- Are willing to take on many diverse tasks
- If you have experience with or an eye for funding opportunities for municipal projects, that is an advantage.
Central to the role is a focus on bridge-building and cross-area potentials, the ability to lift these in collaboration with relevant parties, and a desire to contribute to supporting and strengthening the area in itself. You should have the desire and ability to engage in dialogue with a wide range of stakeholders both inside and outside the town hall – and you can follow many different tasks to completion.
Types of tasks you will handle
- Project management and sparring on cross-cutting projects in collaboration with internal and external partners
- Development of leisure facilities – including revising and drafting cooperation and user agreements with for example self-governing units
- Prepare case materials, notes and analyses for political decision-making
- Development of partnerships, collaboration and bridge-building between the municipality, associations and institutions
- Support events, workshops and activities in the area
- Association support, including guidance on grants, fundraising and permits, coordination regarding coexistence in municipal facilities, assistance with stakeholder and conflict handling, etc.
