The Medical Department at Regionshospital Nordjylland is seeking a specialist in respiratory medicine for an exciting position as of 01.01.27 or by agreement.

About the position

As a specialist in respiratory medicine you will be a central part of an engaged team working with a wide range of respiratory medical patients. You will join the operations of the Respiratory Medicine Ward and report clinically to the Head of the Respiratory Medicine department and organizationally to the Chief Physician of the Medical Department.

Your tasks will include

• Clinical work in inpatient wards and outpatient clinic
• Teaching of junior doctors, medical students, nursing staff and collaborators
• Participation in the development of patient pathways and interdisciplinary collaboration
• On-call duties in internal medicine (at the duty site)

If you are lecturer-qualified, a clinical lectureship could be considered.

About the Respiratory Medicine Ward

• 18 beds treating a wide range of respiratory medical patients
• Offer of NIV treatment and High-flow therapy both during hospitalization and at home
• Well-equipped outpatient clinic connected to the inpatient ward with combibox, IOS, NO, mannitol- and methacholine tests, exercise test, EHV, walking test and shuttle test. In addition, we perform provocations for suspected drug allergy
• Close collaboration with Intensive Care

The medical team currently comprises 4 pulmonary specialists and junior doctors supported by experienced nurses.

Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

The position is full-time.
