About the job

Do you want to help strengthen contract management and compliance in Ishøj Municipality and put procurement on the agenda across the municipality?

Are you motivated by creating structure, following up tasks to completion, and translating data into actionable management information? Do you thrive at the intersection of contract management, procurement, supplier collaboration, and digitalisation? Are you skilled at creating buy-in and collaboration with users of the municipality's contracts and suppliers? Then you may be the Contract Manager we are looking for in Ishøj Municipality's Procurement and Tendering Unit.

About the role

You will become part of Financial Management, Analysis and Procurement, where the Procurement and Tendering Unit consists of three employees. The Tendering and Procurement Unit is responsible for the municipality's procurement from the moment a need arises until contracts are concluded, implemented and followed up. They conduct procurement and purchasing, advise the organisation, support the use of the municipality's contracts and work with contract management, supplier follow-up and compliance.

In the unit you will work closely with your colleagues on developing the municipality's contract portfolio.

You will be the link between the municipality's users, suppliers, SKI and our digital procurement system Tellis, as well as the management information system Konsido Spend. At the same time, you will have an important task in supporting the organisation with knowledge, advice and data that create higher contract usage and better compliance. As Contract Manager you are thus close to both users and top management, as evidenced by tasks such as ongoing follow-up meetings with operating sites and ongoing preparation of status on, among other things, compliance for the Executive Board and Corporate Management.

The position offers a high degree of independence and the opportunity to influence the development of contract management, e-procurement and supplier collaboration.

A significant part of the work consists in creating visibility around contract usage and compliance. You must analyse purchasing patterns, identify improvement opportunities and translate data into management information that helps the organisation act effectively.

We are therefore looking for a profile who can drive contract management close to operations and create value through a structured and responsible handling of the municipality's agreements and supplier relationships.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have experience with procurement, contract management or supplier collaboration, preferably from a public sector organisation.

In addition, we would like you to

  • Have knowledge of public procurement and SKI agreements as well as the e-procurement system Tellis or similar solutions
  • Be analytically strong and able to translate data into usable management information
  • Have an understanding of compliance and contract follow-up
  • Work in a structured way and take responsibility for your tasks
  • Be service-minded and good at building relationships
  • Communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing

Your educational background is not decisive. The most important thing is that you can deliver results through structure, collaboration and understanding of procurement and contract management.

Your main responsibilities

  • Digital procurement and e-procurement (Tellis) – creation and maintenance of contracts, catalogs and users in Tellis, dialogue with suppliers, development of workflows, etc.
  • Compliance and procurement analysis – dissemination, analyses, management information
  • Supplier and contract management – follow-up on existing agreements as well as development of the contract portfolio, planning and conducting supplier meetings
  • SKI agreements and strategic procurement – joining agreements, updating and maintaining the portal, analyses etc.
  • Advice and support to managers and purchasing managers

  • A key position with great influence on the development of the municipality's procurement area
