COO – with CTO potential

A key role in the company's future development

As COO you will be responsible for Operations and the technical organization. You will have a central role in the continued development of the company, and become an important sparring partner for the CEO and the rest of the management team.

You must ensure an efficient and scalable operation while you drive the development of our products, processes and technical competencies.

The role contains significant development potential, and for the right candidate there will be an opportunity to take on broader responsibility including the CTO area with responsibility for technology, product development, innovation and technical strategy.

Your key areas of responsibility

You will have the overall responsibility for production, Supply Chain and the technical department and will, among other things, work with the strategic planning of production capacity and resources as well as optimization of production flow, productivity and efficiency.

In addition you will be responsible for the management and development of the Production Manager, Supply Chain Manager and Technical Manager.

Your other areas of responsibility will be

• responsibility for PTA, design, product development, quality, delivery reliability and customer satisfaction
• development of the product portfolio in both standard products and customized solutions
• execution of business-critical improvement and transformation projects
• budget and results responsibility for the factory and technical functions, KPI monitoring and performance management
• participation in the company's management team and contribute to the group's strategic development and growth agenda.

Who are you?

We imagine that you come from a manufacturing company with technical complexity and documented results in leadership, efficiency and organizational development, where you have held a role as COO, Production Director, Operations Director or similar.

You have a technical educational background, for example mechanical/production engineer or equivalent with a good understanding of industrialization and technical development processes. You are aware of the importance of your leadership role and understand how to combine commercial understanding with technical insight.

In addition you have

• solid experience with LEAN, process optimization and change management
• experience with production, Supply Chain and product development
• experience with budgets, investments and financial management
• strong managerial skills with focus on people, collaboration and results
• the ability to switch between strategic decisions and operational execution.

If you are motivated to eventually take broader responsibility for the company's technological direction, innovation and product development this would be an advantage.

It is also an advantage if you are used to working in a structured and data-based manner and can challenge existing workflows constructively when it adds value to the organization.

Your leadership style

You have a motivating and inclusive leadership style and a strong ability to create followership and engagement among your employees and collaborators. Your communication is clear and explicit, ensuring that everyone understands the vision, the goals and the concrete tasks. You manage to motivate and involve your colleagues so they feel seen, heard and as part of a joint effort.

In addition you thrive with a visible leadership role where you are close to both production, engineering and other management.

Your leadership style creates direction and momentum in the organization, and you are good at bridging between the different levels and functions. Your ability to navigate complex structures and collaborate across departments makes you a respected leader who can drive change and deliver results.
