Are you our new chef for the canteen at Ålegården 2-4?

We are seeking a skilled, creative and engaged chef for the Kolding Municipality's canteen at Ålegården 2-4. Do you enjoy the green kitchen, a sense for quality and a desire to create good food experiences in a busy daily life, then it might be you we are looking for.

We imagine that you are a trained chef, but if you have other relevant education and experience within canteen or kitchen operations, we also would love to hear from you.

Join a strong community

You will become part of a well-functioning team of five skilled and engaged colleagues who every day prepare lunch for more than 100 guests consisting of municipal employees, visitors and meeting participants. In addition we provide catering for meetings, events and receptions.

The canteen at Ålegården 2-4 is one of four canteens in the Kolding Municipality's administration buildings in central Kolding. The canteens have a shared management, and we are in the process of developing an even stronger collaboration across.

A kitchen with focus on taste, sustainability and green meals

With us we place great emphasis on healthy, tasty and sustainable food. We actively work to develop the green kitchen and create varied meals with inspiration from different cuisines. The food should not only taste good – it should also look appealing and be served with a smile.

Daily life is characterized by high tempo and many different tasks, but also by a good work environment, humor, cooperation and room for new ideas.

We are looking for a colleague who

• is a trained chef or has equivalent relevant skills and experience
• enjoys the green kitchen and wants to develop exciting meals
• has an overview and can stay calm, even when it is busy
• is creative and contributes with new ideas and solutions
• is positive, service-minded and greets both guests and colleagues with a smile
• has a good portion of humor and contributes to the good atmosphere in the team
• is adaptable and thrives with a varied workday
• works consciously with quality, sustainability and reduction of food waste
• takes responsibility and contributes actively to the community

Your tasks will among others include

• Preparation of hot and cold dishes
• Baking and production of the canteen's other assortment
• Plating of buffet
• Catering for meetings and events
• Table setting and preparation and cleaning in connection with meetings
• Ordering of goods
• Self-check
• Cleanup, cleaning and dishwashing
