Can you master your craft when it comes to construction and civil engineering budgeting? Do you thrive being the one to ensure that projects stand on a solid financial foundation? Should your next position be a role with influence and impact – not only in projects but also in relation to internal workflows? Then there very well may be a match between you and this role at Ramboll!

Our Cost Management team is experiencing growth, and we are now looking for a colleague who is strongly grounded in costing and budgeting and who will help take our services to the next level! With us you will have the opportunity to work with many different construction financial matters, spanning all types of buildings, while you – together with our experienced Cost Managers – will also help drive the team's continued development. Are you in for the journey?

Your new role

As Cost Manager you will be responsible for facilitating the process around pricing through various phases, as you prepare capital expenditure budgets for both smaller and larger, complex cross-disciplinary projects. You will play a crucial role in ensuring well-documented cost calculations that support our high standards for technical precision and reliability. The work takes place in close collaboration with colleagues from different disciplines – including engineers, architects, project managers and specialists – who will also take an active part in qualifying the calculation.

The role carries both responsibility and influence, and you will have ample opportunity to make your mark – not only on the individual tasks but also on the internal processes and cross-functional collaboration within the team. You will become part of a small, but tight-knit team, which sits on extensive knowledge of construction economics and costing.

At Ramboll we work on everything from power plants to super hospitals and everything in between – so there are plenty of professional challenges and complex projects to dive into for you who nerd budgets and thrive on making the numbers work.

Your primary responsibilities will include

  • Preparation of capital expenditure calculations and financial overviews
  • Assemble a transparent capital expenditure budget
  • Overview of all building disciplines
  • Provide financial support and quality checks to our colleagues
  • Coordinator and proactive on your own projects
  • Participation in project and sales meetings
  • Ensure correct documentation of the financial framework, risks and capital expenditures
  • Contribute to optimizing internal processes and financial flow.

About you

  • Have solid experience from a similar role, typically 6-7 years or more, e.g. as bid leader, estimator or cost calculator within construction or civil engineering, preferably in turnkey contracts
  • Have an educational background as a building constructor, engineer or similar, or have gained corresponding technical insight through experience
  • Have strong competencies within costing, budgeting and financial management of complex projects
  • Can handle the process around cost calculations independently and communicate confidently with engineers, architects, project managers and other specialists
  • Have a solid holistic understanding of the construction processes and can assess the economics across several technical disciplines
  • Have commercial understanding and thrive with responsibility in relation to both projects and clients
  • Can contribute with professional leadership, sparring and mentoring in the team
  • Can communicate fluently in Danish, both spoken and written
  • Is strong at relationship-building both internally and externally

What we can offer you

  • Opportunity to work with a wide range of complex building and civil engineering projects that shape the buildings, infrastructure and energy solutions of the future
  • A role where your professional knowledge and financial insight influence the decisions made on some of our largest and most complex projects
  • Opportunity to influence the development of the Cost Management area and help strengthen our professional approach and workflows
  • A strong professional environment with inspiration and sparring from colleagues, clients and projects across disciplines
  • A flexible working environment with the option to work from home
  • Pension scheme via PFA including paid health insurance
  • Technical excursions and social events with colleagues
