About the job

  • Are you a trained pedagogue? Or do you have other relevant creative and pedagogical experience.
  • Can you ”small-talk” to the music from Kandis while threading an embroidery needle, and crack the code of a crochet pattern?
  • Do you understand how to create meaningful work, together with the citizens at the workshop?
  • Can you create a safe, caring and recognizable everyday life, where the person is at the center, and where handicrafts are the carrying element of the creativity?
  • Do you have mastery of material choices, form and colors? Can you operate a sewing machine and upcycle second-hand materials in a creative work process, together with our citizens in our protected employment?

So it is YOU we need.

As a citizen at the workshop, I need

  • That you have experience in the field of special pedagogy, so you can understand my needs and help me in a way that makes sense to me. I need you to have both professional and personal competences to take responsibility for and run the creative workshop that I am part of.
  • That you stand strong in your professional competency and can create a daily life where I feel safe, seen and met with care. I need frameworks that give me the opportunity for development and content in my day – in a way that starts from my needs.
  • That you can work independently while also following the rhythm of the year and the common agreements at Sølager. It gives me calm and predictability when I can feel that you are stable and keep your word.
  • That you contribute to a good working environment where there is respect, humor and room for everyone. I thrive best when I can sense that the staff around me collaborate and get along.
  • That you can plan and work in a structured way, so I know what will happen, and that you document my progression in a way that helps me move forward.
  • That you have knowledge and experience with citizens like me who have reduced physical or mental functional ability – perhaps also psychiatric challenges. It means a lot to me that you understand why I react as I do, and that you can support me in a safe and professional manner.

About you

  • You are passionate about working with the target group and can create a meaningful everyday life for the staff, with job satisfaction and a high work ethic.
  • You must be able to create and see tasks that make sense and are recognizable for the Blue House employees (citizens).
  • You are open, reflective and clear in your communication with the staff (the citizens), relatives, colleagues, and external partners. You meet our staff (citizens) at eye level, with respect for the individual.
  • You contribute with positivity and curiosity to solving tasks, even when everyday life changes.
