CTO / Chief Technical Officer – Product Development and Composite Materials

Do you want to lead the technical development in an international manufacturing company with strong growth ambitions?

Nordic Platform A/S is seeking a technically strong and development-oriented CTO / Technical Director who will help to further develop our composite products for the international scaffold industry.

We are a Danish company with headquarters in Haderslev and activities in both Europe and the USA. We develop and supply composite platforms and base frames for some of the international scaffold manufacturers and suppliers.

We are in an exciting growth phase, where our product portfolio, customer base and international activities are developing rapidly. Therefore, we are looking for a person who can take overall technical responsibility and help shape our future products.

Your duties

As CTO / Technical Director you will play a central role in the company and will work closely with our CEO, international sales team, customers and production partners.

Your primary tasks will be

• Development and optimization of our composite platforms, base frames and associated components.
• Engineering, technical drawings and production documentation.
• Calculations of strength, load and deflection, including FEM/FEA analyses.
• Planning and execution of product testing and quality assurance.
• Work with international standards, technical approvals and certifications, including EN 12811.
• Technical sparring with our customers and partners in Europe and the USA.
• Collaboration with our production partners in China and Latvia on product improvements, quality and new solutions.
• Development of new profiles, end pieces, connection solutions and other components.
• Structuring and prioritizing our technical development projects from idea to finished product.

You will have the opportunity to work with both daily technical operations and long-term development projects.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have an engineering education in, for example, mechanical engineering, design, mechanics, materials technology or composite materials.

You preferably have experience with product development, design and calculations, but you do not necessarily need to have previously worked specifically with composites or the scaffold industry.

We particularly emphasize that you

• Have a solid technical understanding and interest in product development.
• Have experience with 3D CAD and technical construction drawings.
• Have knowledge of strength calculations and preferably FEM/FEA.
• Can translate ideas and customer needs into concrete, producible solutions.
• Work in a structured way and can keep an overview of several projects.
• Are practically oriented and thrive on finding solutions rather than just describing problems.
• Can communicate in English with international customers and suppliers.
• Thrive in a smaller company where decisions are fast and you contribute to making things happen.

Experience with composite materials, pultrusion, product approvals or international production would be an advantage, but is not a requirement.
