Danish teacher for the lower school in Stauning - with a focus on language, community and participation

Are you passionate about giving children a strong linguistic start to their school life - and about developing the teaching together with others? Then you might be the one we are looking for.

We are looking for an engaged Danish teacher for a 90% position from 1 January 2027. You will have a central role in a development project with co-teaching in Danish from kindergarten to 3rd grade. The position is time-limited until the project ends on 1 July 2028 with the possibility of extension.

About the position

Our youngest students should have the best conditions to develop language, reading and writing and to experience themselves as active participants. Therefore we work with co-teaching: Two professionals from different subjects who plan, implement and evaluate together, creating more pathways into the instruction for the individual child.

You do not need to be an expert in co-teaching - just curious and ready to develop your practice with others.

You should, among other things

• teach Danish and have a class-teacher role in the lower school
• plan, implement and evaluate co-teaching sequences
• have a special focus on language development, reading and participation
• contribute to our shared pedagogical practice.

We place emphasis on Danish as a subject specialization.

About us

Stauning School stands out because we can follow the children from the nursery to 6th grade. We know many before they start in kindergarten. The rest we quickly get to know. We are a small public school with 85 pupils from 0-6th grade as well as nursery, kindergarten and after-school care (SFO) - in total 137 children.
