About the job

Imagine working on Denmark's most critical systems, turning unique customer data into real value through applied machine learning. As our new Data Scientist, you will play a key role in analysing customer data and training models within our established product. Ready to make an impact?

The job

You will be responsible for generating value from customer data within our established product, which underpins national security and critical infrastructure domains. Our customers are classified and cannot be disclosed, so your work will take place in secure environments, often in collaboration with Product teams, security teams and onsite at customer locations. As this is a newly established position, you will have the opportunity to help shape this role as it grows.

In short, you can look forward to

  • Analysing and preparing customer data for use in our established product
  • Training, evaluating and refining machine learning models on customer data
  • Integrating models and data-driven features that generate measurable value
  • Exploring customer data to identify new opportunities for value creation
  • Collaborating with security teams to ensure compliance with national classifications and profiles

Joining the team

You will join an organisation where you will be associated with multiple teams, part of our NSI business unit. We develop and maintain military-grade solutions that support a nation's most critical systems. The organisation is highly collaborative, organised around Products that make a difference.

If you are located in Aarhus, we are open to discussing a hybrid arrangement, but you should expect regular presence in Copenhagen (6–8 days per month).

Your qualifications

We are looking for a data scientist with hands-on experience applying machine learning to real-world data in production settings, who can work confidently in high-stakes, security-classified environments.

  • Relevant technical education, Bachelor's or Master's, in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent experience
  • Documented experience with applied machine learning on real-world data
  • Some hands-on experience with data science and machine learning in production settings
  • Strong knowledge of Python, machine learning frameworks (scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow), SQL and data processing tools
  • Fluent Danish and English skills
  • A strong security mindset and ability to work in high-stakes environments

Alongside this, we value

  • A collaborative and proactive work style
  • Comfortable working independently and navigating ambiguity, particularly as this is a newly established role
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable working onsite at customer environments when needed

Expect travel activity to our HQ in Aarhus and to customer sites, primarily in Copenhagen.

Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
