About the job

The mink case is quite special. Everyone has heard or read about it. Many have an opinion on it. In the Part Team we work with it. The mink farmers must receive compensation. It is a large and important societal task. It is a task where we do many things for the first time, so solutions must be invented as needed – do you want to join?

About the position

The Part Team in the Building Agency represents the state and participates in the compensation and appraisal commissions' valuation of the mink industry. We are looking for a colleague to become part of the team that prepares party submissions and participates in inspections of companies. The position will be time-limited until June 2029. You will face breeders, lawyers, advisers and appraisal commissions, which consist of judges and subject matter experts.

There is a lot of money at stake and strong emotions from the mink farmers. You must balance standing firm on what is professionally correct with the very special situation the breeders are in. You will have the opportunity to translate your knowledge of public administration and case processing into practice. Your tasks will primarily consist of:

  • you with thoroughness and quality-conscious approach are responsible for case preparation and review of drafts for compensation determination
  • you have a concrete and analytical approach when you prepare party submissions, which are sent to the appraisal commissions and the other parties in the case
  • you participate in inspections and subsequent appraisal proceedings meetings nationwide
  • you assess whether cases can be concluded with settlements with a view to the law and the overall line
  • you assess whether decisions should be appealed
  • you help carry out ongoing improvements of our case workflows and build knowledge of the work

About you

You want to be part of a team that is in constant change and must continually find answers to things we do not yet know. We would like you to have a relevant academic education with competencies in administrative law and complex case processing. For example, you may have a social science or legal background. You may be employed and want to try something else for a period. Perhaps you are newly trained, or have experience from another public administration. It is an advantage if you have a driving license (B). We also place emphasis on:

  • you are bold and prepared to present the state's viewpoints in front of the Compensation and Appraisal Commission.
  • you have experience with tasks involving many stakeholders and thrive in interdisciplinary collaboration, also across authorities.
  • you want to learn and contribute to the team with what you know.
  • you can argue sharply, both in writing and orally.
  • you thrive in a daily life with many deadlines and take pride in meeting them.

About the team

You will have a challenging working day with an informal atmosphere and engaged colleagues. We can promise you a great experience, and that working with mink compensations is both educational and fascinating. The Part Team consists primarily of AC-levels with different educational backgrounds. The unit is led by a center chief and is located in the Center of Staff in the Building Agency. We have a high professional standard.

Cross-functional cooperation and inclusion are essential for our success, and we focus on a motivating and good working environment. We are currently 35 dedicated and capable employees with a broad mix of competencies in the Center of Staff in the Building Agency.

Salary and terms of employment

You are employed under the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state. You may possibly arrange to take leave from your current employer, since the position is temporary and as a rule time-limited to June 2029.

You will be placed based on seniority and experience as an attorney at the base level or as a specialized or chief consultant in accordance with the applicable collective agreement, which you can find here and the Employees' and Competence Agency's salary overview, which you can find here. Depending on your qualifications and competences there may be room for negotiating allowances. There will be an employer-financed pension scheme at 18.07%. Alternatively you will be employed under another relevant collective agreement.

Contact Morten Bækholm Bjerregaard at email [email protected] or recruitment partner, Sophia van Deurs, at email [email protected], if you have questions about salary placement. Please note that we only provide the base salary for the position, and any allowances are negotiated in connection with a concrete salary offer.

The Building Agency is an agency under the Ministry of Housing, Urban and Transport and your area of employment will be the ministry with its associated agencies. Your workplace will be at Carsten Niebuhrs Gade 43, 1577 Copenhagen V or Thomas Helsteds Vej 9, 8660 Skanderborg depending on the candidate. We offer the possibility of home working when it fits the tasks. At the office we work activity-based with no fixed desks. You can read more here.
