About the position

As a controller at Newsec you will have a central role in a client team that holds the financial responsibility for a portfolio of properties and companies. You will work closely with administrators, operations managers and colleagues across the organization – always with the customer at the center and in line with our shared value: One team

You will have a versatile role including operations, reporting and client contact. No day is the same, and you will be an important part of the delivery to some of Denmark's most professional property clients.

Your primary tasks will include

• Daily controlling, bookkeeping and reconciliation of balance, intercompany and bank accounts
• Monthly and quarterly closings and budget follow-up, including preparation of quarterly and annual reports, including audit material
• Handling of VAT, duties and tax calculations as well as preparation of liquidity statements
• On- and offboarding of properties and new clients, as well as ongoing client dialogue about finances, deliveries and deadlines

About you

We are looking for someone who has a natural service-oriented approach and can communicate clearly and constructively with many different stakeholders and clients. You are solution-oriented and structured, with a proactive approach to tasks. You thrive in an informal, collaborative environment where we help each other across the organization.

Additionally we imagine that you

• Have a relevant accounting or economics education – e.g. as financial economist, cand.merc. or similar
• Maybe have a couple of years’ experience from a similar finance, controlling or accounting function
• Possess strong Excel skills and curious about digital tools
• Work independently and are good at prioritizing your tasks

It is an advantage if you already have knowledge of and experience with the property industry from a relevant position.
