Dedicated nurse for a multidisciplinary skilled team at the Open Psychiatric 24/7 Ward 2711, Psychiatric Center North Zealand in Helsingør

About the position

Section 2711 is an open psychiatric 24-hour unit with 16 beds. We receive adult patients with various psychiatric disorders, including dual diagnoses and stress reactions, who need observation, stabilization and further treatment planning.

As a nurse you will be a central part of the patients' treatment trajectory.

Your tasks include, among others

• Relationship work, care and treatment of patients
• Milieu-therapeutic conversations and support for structure and mastery of everyday life
• Medication management, observation of effects and side effects, and documentation
• Preparation of crisis plans and coordination of patient pathways
• Interdisciplinary collaboration on treatment, rehabilitation and discharge
• Prevention of self-harm and suicide and use of de-escalation methods

We are looking for someone who

• Has Danish authorization as a nurse
• Has an interest in psychiatry and wishes to develop your professional competencies within the field
• Works professionally, responsibly and independently
• Maintains an overview and composure in complex and sometimes acute situations
• Contributes positively to interdisciplinary collaboration and a good working environment
• Can handle the physical and mental demands of working on a psychiatric 24-hour unit
• Can respond quickly in acute situations, including responding to alarms. This is a prerequisite for employment

Psychiatric experience is an advantage, but not a requirement. We assess applicants based on their overall competencies and motivation.

Salary and employment terms

The position is a full-time position and is to be filled on 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible.

You will be employed under the agreement for non-management personnel in the Sundhedskartellet area. During employment you are covered by the currently applicable working time agreement entered into between the Regions' Løn- og Takstnævn and the Danish Nurses' Organization.

The 24-hour unit is staffed around the clock, and you will therefore be scheduled with mixed shifts, both day, evening and night - in accordance with the rules of the current working hours agreement. The duty roster will be planned as far as possible according to your wishes and preferences, but with the main premise that the operation has to run smoothly.

You should expect a work weekend every second or every third weekend.
