Kindergarten Gimle is seeking engaged, relationally strong and professionally curious educators for both the kindergarten and the toddler unit. We are opening our fourth kindergarten room, and therefore we are looking for educators who want to be part of creating the physical framework, shaping daily life and setting the direction for the pedagogical work in the new room. We are also looking for an educator for our toddler unit, where presence, secure relationships and professional depth are central.

Welcome to Gimle – a kindergarten in development

Kindergarten Gimle opened in April 2026 and is part of Dagtilbud Højvangen. We are well underway in finding our shared rhythm, strengthening our culture and developing the best conditions for children, parents and staff.

We believe that good childhoods are created by adults who are present, clear and curious about the children’s perspectives. Adults who dare to play, wonder, reflect and adjust their practice when something calls for a new approach.

We are a kindergarten where there is room for laughter, play, deep learning and professional discussions, and where we together take responsibility for ensuring that all children feel themselves to be meaningful participants in the community.

Our pedagogical stance

In Gimle and the rest of Dagtilbud Højvangen we have a common pedagogical foundation that helps us develop the quality and direction of our work.

We work, among other things, with

• Well-being and relationships as the foundation for children's learning, development and participation

Who are you?

We are looking for a educated educator who wants to bring both professional insight and personality into play. You don’t need to have all the answers beforehand. Instead, we hope that you:

• Are present, clear and good at creating secure relationships with the children.
• See play as an important part of children's well-being, development and learning – and are keen to be involved yourself.
• Are curious about children’s perspectives and focused on how we create participation opportunities for all children.
• Want to take shared responsibility for structure, culture and pedagogical practice in a kindergarten in development.
• Thrive with clear frameworks, but also can follow the children’s initiatives and seize the opportunities that arise along the way.
• Are ready for professional reflection and dare to ask questions about both own and shared practice.
• Value collaboration with colleagues and parents and contribute actively to a work community characterized by trust, humor and respect.

You may be newly trained with plenty of drive or an experienced educator with a desire for new challenges. The most important thing is that you want to make a difference for the children and develop with us.

Practical information

• We are looking for educators for both the kindergarten and the toddler unit.
• Positions are 32–37 hours per week by agreement.
• Interviews held on an ongoing basis.
• Salary and terms of employment follow the applicable collective agreement.
• Start in December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. We conduct interviews and hire on an ongoing basis, so please send your application as soon as possible.

Salary and terms of employment are set according to the applicable collective agreement, including the determined provisions regarding local salary formation.
