Design Engineer – with room for technical specialization

We are looking for an experienced structural engineer who is passionate about their trade, motivated by complex structural tasks and eager to challenge solutions and contribute to the professional dialogue.

Structural engineer is your title – the role shifts with the task

With us the title is not the decisive factor. We care more about matching the right competences to the task.

In one assignment you might be a project manager, in another a specialist or project member, and in a third you might be the case owner. The role depends on the task, your competences and interests.

So if you today work as a project manager, a statics engineer or a specialist – perhaps as a certified statics engineer – there is room to bring both your experience and expertise into play in different roles.

Value Engineering in practice

Value Engineering specializes in load-bearing structures. Our core competence is to analyse and optimise structural solutions with a focus on constructibility and value for the project.

We work for and with clients, contractors, consulting engineers and architects on, among other things, Value Engineering, design optimization, reviews, certification and complex specialist tasks.

Your tasks may include

• Value Engineering and design optimization of load-bearing structures
• reviews of structures and solutions
• complex specialist tasks
• certification cases in KK2-KK4 as well as third-party inspection
• collaboration with consultants, contractors and colleagues
• occasional design of particularly challenging structures or structural sections.

The tasks vary in content and duration. Some cases span a few weeks, while others run over longer periods.

Who are we looking for?

You can be a generalist with a broad structural profile or a specialist with solid experience in your area. The crucial factor is your professional level, your curiosity and the desire to bring your knowledge into play across different assignments.

We envision that you

• are educated as a structural engineer or civil engineer with a strong professional background in load-bearing structures
• have a minimum of three years of relevant experience – preferably 5-10 years or more – but your professional level matters more to us than the number of years on the CV
• have a strong understanding of statics and how structures work and experience with calculation, design and/or review
• can work independently on a task and know when it makes sense to involve other competences in the house.

If you are keen on client contact and managing your own cases, there are good opportunities for that. If you are a certified statics engineer in KK3/KK4 or third-party control, that is a big plus – but not a requirement.
