Design Manager

For the department "client advisory and design management" we are seeking an engaged and experienced design lead who will contribute to expanding and strengthening design management at Artelia in general.

We believe that the design lead is the key to achieving structure and driving an objective design process based on the construction industry’s contract framework and respect for all professional perspectives.

With us, the design lead's responsibility is strengthened by viewing the task as an independent management discipline, supported by your structure, professionalism and design experience.

From the department we champion the cross-disciplinary professional network for design leads at Artelia and drive Artelia's internal training in design management. We have a strong focus on expanding and strengthening design management.

As a design lead with us you will

• Perform design management on projects across Artelia's portfolio in the construction segment, in both new build and renovation.
• Support our group head of competence in expanding and strengthening design management .
• Support the strategic goals for the department and the discipline.
• Share knowledge across Artelia and with your closest colleagues regarding the rules of the construction industry, design and procurement, etc.
• Work across our business and involve Artelia's broad range of specialists in the projects and thereby help ensure the right project solutions and progress.

We expect that you

• have a relevant higher education with construction background such as engineer, architect, building designer or equivalent.
• have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the industry and at least 5 years in the role of design lead on a broad range of projects – alternatively a particular focus area such as housing, schools or other.
• work in a structured and purposeful way.
• have good people understanding, lead the way and set the framework.
• be a good sparring partner who values collaboration.
• have a positive attitude toward people and projects.
