Development Consultant with a focus on the further development of the educational town Nykøbing F. and a good quality of life for young people

Do you want to help create the best framework for that young people in Guldborgsund Municipality experience a good youth life, where they can participate in and have influence on the development of their local community?

We are seeking a strategically grounded and proactive development consultant who can be the unifying force in the municipality's work on further developing the education city Nykøbing f, youth involvement, democracy and communities. The position is anchored in the Strategy and Development Department in the Centre for Policy and Personnel, where you as a central key person in the youth area will play an important role in developing, coordinating and supporting initiatives across the entire organisation in collaboration with external actors.

About the position

You are to help translate the municipality's ambitions for the youth area into concrete activities, partnerships and projects. You will be the link between the municipality's service centres, young people, educational institutions, associations, civil society and other actors with an interest in youth and participation. You will work both strategically and practically, and you must be able to move effortlessly between development, coordination, facilitation and project management.

Your main tasks

You will, among other things, do the following

• coordinate, develop and support the municipality's cross-cutting youth initiatives with a focus on young people's participation, influence and communities
• facilitate and further develop collaborations and networks across the municipality, educational institutions, associations and other actors who work with and for young people
• develop, implement and follow up on activities, projects and events for and with young people, including national, international and EU-funded projects
• participate in cross-cutting project management of initiatives around Student-friendly Municipality and Child-friendly Municipality
• prepare political cases, analyses and strategic briefs on youth issues as well as gather and translate knowledge and inspiration from other municipalities, countries and domains

We imagine that you

• have an advanced university degree and experience in driving development and project tasks, ideally with knowledge of foundation- and EU-funded projects
• are passionate about strengthening young people's voices, participation and opportunities and have insight into the conditions and communities that shape young people's lives
• are strong at building relationships, bridging between different actors and facilitating collaborations and co-creating processes
• navigate confidently in the intersection of politics, administration and practice and can translate ideas into action
• work independently and in a structured way, have an eye for both detail and the bigger picture, and communicate clearly and professionally
