About the job
Fundraiser with a passion for green transition and the circular economy
Do you want to help develop tomorrow's green and circular solutions – and translate knowledge and ideas into projects that make a difference?
The Green Transition sector is looking for a fundraiser, where the majority of tasks will need to be solved in the 8-year EU-funded project Circular Economy Beyond Waste (CEBW), which has been established to implement the national action plan for the circular economy and is driven by a partnership of 30 organizations. The project secretariat is located in Silkeborg Municipality.
We are looking for you who want to develop and mature new projects, create strong partnerships and secure concrete fundraising for implementation. You must be both proactive in finding good ideas and able to grab the ideas when they arise – and from there translate and develop towards grant applications.
Your tasks
You will take a central role in the secretariat's upcoming work with project development and fundraising and will, among other things, do the following:
- Develop strategy and lay concrete plans for the fundraising effort based on results and knowledge generated in CEBW, with a focus on both Danish and international partners
- Develop and mature new projects and partnerships, where Silkeborg Municipality participates as a partner
- Identify relevant funding opportunities and translate ideas into strong project concepts and concrete applications.
- Contribute to strengthening competencies and working methods for project development and fundraising in Grøn Omstilling and more broadly in Technical and Environmental
You will, as needed, also participate in our shared secretariat tasks in CEBW, which include:
- Planning and hosting conferences, workshops, study tours
- Reporting and documentation
- Other tasks where we help each other and lift together
We imagine that you…
- Have experience with project development and writing grant applications to the EU and Danish funds aimed at green transition – and that you can document your experience and success in securing external funds
- Have experience in creating cross-organizational collaborations and partnerships
Experience with international collaboration is an advantage, but not a requirement.
We also imagine that…
You know the basic principles of the green transition and circular economy and are ambitious in developing projects with strong positive climate and environmental impact. In CEBW we work with planetary boundaries, where reduction of production and consumption are essential elements within the circular economy. It is crucial that you can understand complex disciplinary issues and translate them into strong fundable projects.
Why you should choose us
You will be a part of the Green Transition sector, which is located in Silkeborg Municipality’s Technical and Environmental Department. The sector consists of 13 employees and a leader and comprises three teams: CEBW, the Climate Secretariat, and Energy and Resources. We work with different parts of the green transition, but with a common ambition to bring our disciplines into play and create collaboration across.
Green Transition is part of the Natural, Environment and Climate section in the Technical and Environmental Department. Here we work with both regulatory tasks, planning and development, which provides good opportunities to connect different disciplines and develop new initiatives and collaborations – both internally in the municipality and with external actors.
In Circular Economy Beyond Waste – which will be your primary area of responsibility - we work to accelerate the circular transition through innovation, collaboration and concrete actions. We support the partnership in succeeding with the shared objectives – both by developing new initiatives, collaboration relationships and partnerships and by ensuring the coordination, planning and administration that keeps the collaboration functioning in day-to-day operations.
You will be part of a small, engaged secretariat, where we work closely together and help each other across tasks. You will have ample opportunity to shape your own areas of work and actively contribute to the joint development of the project.
