We have just opened our new day care Havtornen in Hedehusene. As more children join, we are now seeking a sole responsible person for the food department who will collaborate with our kitchen assistant to prepare good food for the whole house.

Joy of food and willingness to try new tastes

We are looking for you who love to cook in a modern industrial kitchen and want to try new dishes, tastes and textures. You are curious, outgoing and seek inspiration for your cooking. You place importance on the food smelling pleasant, looking appealing and giving the children a desire to taste.

With your passion for food you help give the children courage to try new foods and opportunities to use their senses at meals.

You will have overall responsibility for the kitchen’s operations and development and for ensuring that food is prepared for the whole house every day. At the same time you will have many pedagogical colleagues who look forward to collaborating with you on the children’s enthusiasm for food and the courage to taste new things.

Your tasks will include

• Planning and preparation of healthy, varied and nutritionally correct food for the whole day
• Development of meal plans
• Purchasing and goods ordering
• Responsibility for the kitchen’s economy and budget as well as organic accounting
• Responsibility for own control – we use E-Smiley.
• Dishwashing, tidying and cleaning in collaboration with the kitchen assistant

• Communicate clearly and understandably in both written and spoken language.

Your daily tasks in the kitchen consist of preparing mid-morning, lunch and afternoon meals for the 146 children who are in the house. In addition, you are expected to maintain good cleaning, hygiene and tidiness in our well-appointed and cozy kitchen, where there is always an opportunity to sing along to a good song on the radio.

Practical information

The position is 37 hours per week

Start on January 1, 2027, but preferably earlier if possible.

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and the Ny Løn principles. We will obtain child and criminal record checks as well as references from previous employments in connection with the hire.
