About the job

In the Directorate for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI), information security and data protection are high on the agenda. We are seeking a lawyer or another profile with relevant experience who can translate professional requirements into concrete solutions and sees opportunities rather than limitations. With us you will have a role close to subject-matter specialists, operations and management. You will work with issues that affect how we protect information and develop secure digital workflows.

Become part of Business Development

You will have 25 colleagues with competencies in digitization, development, law and business support. We work, among other things, with information security, GDPR, process and operations management, digital development projects and cross-cutting legal tasks. With us you will have colleagues to brainstorm with and the opportunity to influence how we plan and develop work on security and data protection.

In SIRI, digitization is an important part of our daily work. We work with new technological possibilities e.g. AI to strengthen efficient and secure task execution and create value for citizens, businesses and employees.

Your tasks

You will work across legal, organizational and technical questions. Your tasks will include:

  • draft risk assessments and impact analyses regarding data protection (DPIA) and translate the results into concrete recommendations
  • advise on security measures and follow up that decided measures are implemented
  • contribute to handling security incidents and to robust processes for security work
  • coordinate efforts across disciplines and prepare decision proposals and management reporting
  • help translate relevant requirements for GDPR, information security and other regulation into processes and controls that work in practice.

The tasks develop continuously, and you will have the opportunity to take responsibility for new areas in line with your competences and interests.

Who are you?

You have a relevant legal education or another background with experience in information security, cyber security or data protection. The most important is that you can understand complex issues and make your assessments usable for those who must make decisions and implement them.

We emphasize that you

  • can identify significant risks and communicate clear, actionable recommendations
  • can navigate a complex, politically governed organization and have an understanding of the administrative law framework, including the Public Administration Act.
  • have a good technical understanding and can acquaint yourself with the technical aspects that are relevant for assessing information security and data protection risks
  • can work independently and at the same time actively seek input.

It is an advantage if you have experience with, for example, ISO/IEC 27001/27002, NIS 2, supervision or implementation of new regulatory requirements. You do not need to know everything from day one.

What you get with us

We prioritize a good onboarding and ensure you get off to a good start with us. You will also have good opportunities for ongoing competence development through courses and new tasks.

Your well-being and a healthy work-life balance are important to us. We therefore offer flexitime and the possibility of up to one day per week of home working, where the task execution allows it.

In SIRI we have an informal tone, and we are characterized by a strong collegial and social community across the agency. We have, among other things, a canteen, a table tennis table, a gym, a Friday bar, etc.

Emphasis on flexibility and professional development

At SIRI our tasks develop continuously. Therefore, flexibility is a natural part of daily life here. As an employee you must be prepared for your tasks or your attachment to a unit to change over time, and that there may be a need to rotate internally, for example due to organizational changes or new needs in the agency. This gives us the opportunity to use your competencies where they do the most good, and internal rotations can give you broader experience and new opportunities for professional development.
