Vestermarkskolen is a school in positive development with a strong international profile. We believe that all children and young people can succeed when they are met with high expectations, good relationships and teaching that makes sense.

We are looking for an engaged teacher for our junior environment (grades 6–9) who can teach in English and home economics and participate in the special educational work in our middle form. Here, strong competencies in Danish or mathematics would be an advantage.

At the same time, we are looking for a colleague who is passionate about international cooperation and who wants to be a driving force in developing the school’s international activities.

World as part of the school day

Vestermarkskolen is Erasmus+ accredited and has an active international collaboration with schools in several European countries.

We want to strengthen our international profile further and therefore seek a teacher who is willing to take a central role in developing and coordinating international projects, visits and exchanges as well as the administration of our Erasmus+ accreditation.

You do not need to have experience with Erasmus+, but you must have the commitment, overview and desire to create opportunities for both students and colleagues.

For us, internationalization is about more than travel. It is about opening the world to our students, creating curiosity and giving them the courage to meet new people, cultures and perspectives.

We are looking for a teacher who believes that all students can develop and succeed. You are clear and authentic in your adult role and able to create motivating teaching with both academic ambitions, warmth and presence.

In our middle form, we work to create academic progression, safety and opportunities to participate for students who, at times, need special arrangements. Here you must be able to combine your professionalism with strong relational competence and a persistent view of the students’ possibilities.

• are a trained teacher with subject strength/teaching competencies in English and preferably home economics.
• have strong competencies in Danish or mathematics and an interest in special education.
• are passionate about international collaboration and want to coordinate and develop our Erasmus+ activities.

• are clear, relationship-building and can create motivating teaching.

In Svendborg Municipality, the salary for this type of position typically ranges between DKK 47,123 and 59,797 per month for full-time employment. The salary includes pension, special holiday pay and fixed allowances. There may also be time-based allowances and other special payments.
