At BoligPortal we develop digital solutions that make it easier and safer to find a home and navigate the rental process securely.

We are looking for a senior back-end developer who can take responsibility for more than just code: You can navigate complex problem statements, make well-founded technical choices, and contribute to lifting both the solutions and the team.

At the same time, we are changing the way we develop products. We are moving toward an AI-first approach to software development and a Product Operating Model, where cross-functional product teams are given greater responsibility for problems, solutions and results.

Your role

As a senior back-end developer you will be an important technical sparring partner in the team.

You will be part of a cross-functional product team where engineering, product, design and other relevant competencies work closely together. The team should not only deliver features, but also understand the problems, test hypotheses and create measurable results for users and the business.

Our back-end is built in Python (Django) with PostgreSQL as the database and AWS as the cloud platform. You will play a central role in further developing a mature solution with a focus on simple architecture, high quality and a platform that can keep up with the product and business needs.

You will among other things

• take ownership of larger technical issues from clarification to solution
• set direction for architecture, quality and technical principles
• bring your technical expertise in early and help shape both the problem and the solution
• challenge solution proposals, spar with the team and find the right balance between quality, complexity and progress

The role therefore goes beyond implementation: You help clarify which problems we should solve, and how we measure whether the solution creates value.

Who are you?

You have solid experience with back-end development and system design, and others often seek your sparring when something becomes complex.

• enjoy working in a product team where direction is formed through data, learning and close collaboration rather than a finished requirements specification
• have practical experience with AI and agent-based workflows as part of daily software development

You have worked with development processes where you can delegate defined implementation tasks to AI agents, while you ensure context, solid system design, precise problem formulation and quality. You can also translate experiences into better ways of working and share them with the team.

BoligPortal is Denmark's largest rental housing portal. We are more than 70 passionate employees who, from our office in Aarhus, run the platform and develop services where tenants and landlords of homes find each other. Safe, fast and secure.
