Do you want to work on the Limfjord as an oyster farming assistant and go home at closing time?

From the port of Hvalpsund we sail out to harvest organic longline mussels, release mussel larvae, and maintain our farming facility. At Muslingeriet we seek a new colleague for a permanent full-time position with year-round work .

Your working day with us

One day you harvest mussels. The next you fill small mussels into net stockings so they can continue to grow on the lines, or help maintain a facility. Most of the work takes place on the fjord, and we also have tasks on land. We typically work two or three together and have freedom to solve tasks collectively.

What we expect from you

• You are reliable and punctual. When we need to sail out, the whole team must be ready.
• You thrive with physical work and are ready to roll up your sleeves outdoors, even when it’s windy or raining.
• You collaborate well with your colleagues and want to learn to sail.
• You can get to and from the harbour in Hvalpsund, including days when we need to meet earlier or work longer.

You don’t need any experience with mussel farming. If you have a boating certificate, it’s a plus.
