About the job

Would you like to help shape the future wastewater- and climate adaptation solutions on projects that have direct impact on climate, urban development and supply security?

Artelia in Copenhagen is seeking a subject-matter expert in drainage and climate with +10 years of experience and a desire to make your mark on some of Denmark's most exciting utility projects.

We have just become part of HOFOR's framework agreement for wastewater projects, and we look forward to collaborating with Denmark's largest utility. This means you will have the opportunity to work with complex and society-critical tasks where your professionalism makes a difference. At the same time you will become part of an international engineering company, where we combine local anchoring in Copenhagen with global strength in Artelia Group with more than 10,000 employees. This provides both a strong professional environment and opportunities to gain knowledge and experience across borders.

Your role

As a subject-matter expert you will have a central role in projects spanning from sewer separation, basin facilities and climate adaptation to innovative solutions within sustainable drainage and LAR. You will:

  • contribute with professional strength in design and quality assurance
  • work closely with project managers and advise clients on optimal solutions
  • be in dialogue with utilities, authorities and partners
  • work on projects across the country – often with support from designing engineers in our outsourcing unit in the Philippines.

With us you get the opportunity to combine local anchoring with global strength.

Your profile

You take natural professional responsibility in the department, where you contribute to developing competencies and ensure that we are always at the forefront of new knowledge and methods. For us, the most important is that you have solid experience with the design of projects for a utility client, a strong professional foundation and come with an equally large dose of passion for the field. We imagine that you:

  • are a trained engineer with +10 years of experience in design within drainage and climate adaptation
  • have design experience on projects for utility companies
  • have a strong professional profile and up-to-date knowledge of the latest technical solutions in the drainage domain
  • thrive in cross-disciplinary work and in teams across geographies
  • can communicate clearly and precisely – both verbally and in writing in Danish and English.

Afløb & Klima in Artelia

You will become part of our office in Copenhagen, where we work across the entire Artelia and collaborate closely with colleagues in both Denmark and internationally. We are an informal but ambitious department that is passionate about delivering quality solutions within drainage and climate adaptation, and we prioritise knowledge sharing and mutual sparring highly.

We are true to our values

We work based on – and together with – our values: Quality, Simplicity, Community, Independence and Passion .

We work according to the principle "freedom with responsibility" , which provides flexibility and balance between work and private life. We believe that high professionalism thrives best in a good working environment. Our professional development is strengthened through our internal Academy and close collaboration across disciplines. This promotes networking and a solid community, resulting in a strong culture characterized by mutual sparring and support among colleagues.

We offer

  • Many exciting and challenging projects
  • A strong professional network with engaged and competent colleagues
  • A culture where well-being, collaboration and working conditions are prioritized
  • A dynamic and inspiring environment with ample opportunity for personal development
  • An employer where "freedom with responsibility" is a core value
  • Good career opportunities supported by internal training programs in the Academy, where we teach management, project management, BIM and other professional areas
  • Attractive employee terms including health insurance, employee bonus, lunch scheme, active staff clubs, sports and cultural events, study trips and an attractive salary package.

If this sounds like something for you, we would love to hear from you – we look forward to welcoming you to us!

In Artelia there is room for diversity, and we see diversity as a strength. Therefore we encourage all qualified to apply for the position – regardless of ethnic background, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion or age.
