Operations Manager for Cleaning and Central Laundry in Internal Service, DIH

At Dr. Ingrids Hospital we are seeking a dedicated and proactive operations manager for our cleaning and laundry function. You will become a central part of the hospital's service organization and will be responsible for ensuring high quality, efficient operations and a good working environment for staff.

The hospital's cleaning and laundry service plays a crucial role in patient safety, hygiene and the overall patient experience. Therefore, we seek a leader who can create structure, development and engagement in a daily routine where quality and collaboration are in focus.

You will join a department management group with responsibility for the daily operations of the porter central, central kitchen and canteen.

Your areas of responsibility

As operations manager you will have overall responsibility for

• The daily management of cleaning and laundry staff
• Planning and coordination of tasks, staffing and rosters
• Ensuring high quality within cleaning, hygiene and laundry service
• Follow-up on operational goals, quality assurance and documentation
• Recruiting, onboarding and competency development of staff
• Absence follow-up and employee well-being
• Budget monitoring and resource optimization
• Implementation and development of workflows and procedures
• Close collaboration with the hospital's clinical departments and other service functions
• Ensuring compliance with current requirements for hygiene, occupational health and safety

We expect that you

• Have experience with people management, preferably within cleaning, laundry, facility management or the healthcare sector
• Have good organizational skills and can maintain an overview in a complex operation
• Are visible, approachable and clear in your leadership style
• Can motivate and develop employees with different professional backgrounds
• Have an understanding of finance and resource management
• Work systematically and with a quality-conscious mindset
• Have good collaboration skills and communicate respectfully across the organization

About us

The position is organizationally anchored in Internal Service and reports to the Chief of Staff for Internal Service. You will play a central role in ensuring that the hospital's cleaning and laundry function supports the core mission: to create the best framework for safe treatment and care of patients.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment terms, including entitlement to induction and severance travel and household relocation, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement between the Greenland Self-Government and the relevant negotiating organization in force at the time of onboarding.

If you are not a Nordic citizen, note that employment is conditional on valid residence and work permit. Residence and work permit can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
