About the job

Will you help get Copenhagen ready? Can you work independently, and are you service-minded and have practical skills? Then you might be our new janitor and colleague

At Vicevært KBH we work every day to make the city ready for Copenhageners and visitors. You will have the opportunity to use your craft, work independently and in teams, and make the necessary decisions to ensure sustainable and proper property management.

We offer

You will become part of Denmark's largest workplace with many skilled colleagues, where we daily work together in our various cross-functional teams to get the city ready. We place great emphasis on good collegial relationships, and our well-being is known to be high.

You will face exciting challenges and have the opportunity to make your mark on daily life. At the same time you become part of a team with kind and competent colleagues, where high well-being and good cooperation go hand in hand. You will have good working hours that allow for a balance between work and private life.

About the position

You will be tasked with ensuring daily operations and servicing buildings and outdoor areas. Every morning we hold a short planning meeting over a cup of coffee, where we review and staff the incoming tasks in our task management system. You are rarely alone in performing a task and will usually work with a fixed colleague.

The tasks will vary at the different locations – for example some tasks will be more craft-demanding, while others involve setting up wardrobes and shelves, waste management, etc.

You will have the opportunity to contribute your ideas and input on how we can together make things smarter while respecting the framework we have to work within.

Your main tasks will be

  • interior maintenance of buildings
  • outdoor maintenance and cleaning
  • building service in general
  • supervision of external craftsmen
  • supervision of technical systems (heating centers, ABA, CTS etc.).
  • waste management
  • smaller craft tasks such as setting up wardrobes, shelves etc.
  • building safety

About you

You are service-minded to your fingertips, and we imagine you work in a friendly and goal-oriented way in your encounters with citizens. You are willing to lend a helping hand when the situation requires it.

You have experience performing practical and craft-related work, and you easily find solutions to the tasks you are responsible for.

We also expect that you are

  • flexible, naturally positive and see opportunities rather than limitations
  • responsible, stable and able to work independently
  • jointly reliable and quick to adapt to new places and situations
  • good at keeping overview, even when there are several tasks requiring your attention and priority
  • curious about new technology, and how technology can support our daily task solving

It is a requirement that you have a driving license – minimum category B – for the duration of your employment.
