The kindergarten is seeking a kindergarten room teacher with a heart in the right place and high professional standards for a permanent position. This is a re-advertisement, as we are looking for the perfect match in the team.

Ørkildborgens Børnehus is a larger self-owned kindergarden house in full development. A few years ago we moved from being Byparkens Nursery to now being an integrated institution with two nursery groups and three kindergarten groups - and have moved into new and newly renovated buildings right at the edge of the forest by Rottefældeskoven, which lies scenically by Ørkildkolonien.

We expect more children in the autumn, so we are therefore seeking the perfect educator for our kindergarten. On the floor you will be three educators and a maximum of 20 children.

We are looking for you if your heart burns for the kindergarten children

-You know who you are as an educator, preferably with kindergarten experience and enjoy reflecting on your own and shared practice - and with humor and a smile you create strong relationships where the children feel seen, heard and acknowledged.

-You are naturally caring and inclusive in your approach to the children. Neuroaffective developmental psychology is, among other things, an obvious part of your pedagogical toolkit.

-You have an overview and calm - and you know that as an educator you have and take responsibility for facilitating and creating cohesion through many special moments of meeting with the children in daily life.

-You see parental collaboration as an essential part of your practice - and you are comfortable with and stand by your professional assessments and statements in meetings with the parents.

-You see your colleagues as sparring partners. With humor, mischief, and laughter we together create a nice and strong kindergarten for both children and adults.

• We are so privileged to have a large playground with many opportunities to create even more exciting play environments. You are very welcome to want to leave your mark on the outdoor space, think creatively and together with the children and colleagues create meaningful play communities.

Who we are - and what we emphasize?

The kindergarten’s practice is in full motion and carried by caring relationships at child height and genuine curiosity about each individual child. We are not locked into a single concept, but work professionally and attentively in our practice. We sense and respond to what we meet in the children; they should experience us as available and on their level.

We structure our day and create calm in smaller groups and in the activities the children call for. We create play environments based on the children's interests and needs - play and community must be easily accessible, and we must be ready to see and adjust them as needed.

We work with a wide range of children and families with very different backgrounds and resources. It is therefore important that we build and stand on our professionalism and communicate professionally and openly in the parental collaboration, even when it is challenging.

Our view of children is inclusive: All children - and families - have strengths we must see and grasp. Cooperation with external actors is, at times, part of our work, where for example action plans and PPR meetings become part of your working time.

It should be safe to go to kindergarten! We see our interactions and relationships with the children - and with each other - as fundamental to their well-being and development.

We are a good mix of ages and experiences among the staff. We complement each other well with our different personalities and competencies, and share the common goal: to ensure the children a fun, educational and safe time with us. We have fun and laugh together - even when we are very busy - and look after each other and our shared work environment. Our work environment belongs to the children – so it is a good indicator of what we should change and do together with and for the children - and each other.

Food and meals are an important part of our pedagogical everyday life, where we create opportunities for good conversations and presence. We are privileged to have a wonderful kitchen with two staff members who prepare all meals for the day for the whole house.

We have a newly formed leadership team with many years of experience in day care, who work for psychological security. We believe in the individual employee’s professionalism and qualifications - and give freedom to use the professional knowledge within our pedagogical stance.

We have a strong focus on well-being and job satisfaction, because we believe that strong relationships between colleagues positively influence the entire house. We prioritize activities that strengthen togetherness and energize daily life by combining professionalism with good breaks, walks and yoga.
