We are seeking a new employee for a small team around a male resident who needs extra support under the Danish Social Services Act §85 due to a brain injury.

The position is in principle 37 hours, but with the possibility to agree on a lower number of hours.

Work is organized in 11-hour shifts with start time currently 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with a weekend shift every 3 weeks. The employment lasts as long as the resident's support is granted.

About the role

You will be an important support in the resident's daily life, where you will help with

  • Personal care and self-care
  • Communication and structure in daily life
  • Calendar management and overview
  • Companionship as well as self-chosen activities (e.g., music, walks, riding therapy and puzzles)
  • Low arousal approaches such as massage, deep pressure and sensory shielding

Who are we?

Solgården, Team Mix, is a strong professional community with a focus on collaboration, respect and a good tone. We work wholeheartedly to create a meaningful daily life for the residents.

We expect that you

  • Are a health-professional by education with an interest in brain injury.
  • Want to make a difference for a vulnerable elderly resident
  • Are calm, stable and thrive in a daily life with variation
  • Put the resident at the center and see possibilities rather than limitations
  • Contribute positively to collaboration and community

We offer

  • An exciting and developing position
  • An engaged team with a good working environment and high professionalism
  • Thorough introduction and regular resident-centered meetings
  • Opportunity for supervision
  • Close collaboration with nursing, communication and assistive devices, physiotherapy and gerontopsychiatry.
