We want pedagogues with ambitions to

• Work professionally grounded and reflectively about one’s own and others’ practice
• Be present and create development and security for the individual child and the entire group of children
• Work with both nursery and preschool children, as we are very much together across rooms and groups, and help each other when needed
• Be co-creators of ‘learning environments all day’ based on the Strengthened Pedagogical Curriculum and the Quality Guide
• Work professionally with parental collaboration, as well as the development of our planning and evaluation culture

In the department head role we want someone who

• Can join a management team of four with a manager, the daily pedagogical leader and the department head
• Is educated as a pedagogue and can work as a pedagogue while constantly wearing the ‘leadership hat’
• Has pedagogical experience and can exercise professional leadership by, among other things, leading by example for practice, and being inspiring through pedagogical practice, professional sparring and reflection.
• Is clear in communication and can translate and convey strategy into everyday practice
• Contributes to a good child and working environment, as well as a desire for development
• Has flair for and interest in diverse tasks at the office (scheduling, ordering supplies, documentation etc.), as well as strategic sparring in the leadership team

We are a large integrated institution in Virum with nature, sports fields and the Frilandsmuseet (Open Air Museum) in the backyard. We have about 160 children distributed in two houses with both nursery and kindergarten in each house. The pedagogical staff consists of 32 permanent employees and 4-6 substitutes of all ages and genders. The staff have a high level of professional collaboration, a focus on the individual child and the group of children, and they laugh a lot together.

We are an institution with a meal scheme, so every morning there is a lovely smell of food prepared by our kitchen ladies. We work structured with themes during the year across the houses as well as LTK’s Quality Guide, which we explore and use so that we constantly develop our learning environments.

In autumn 2022 we got a new playground with among other things a kitchen garden/'children’s garden', a fire pit, climbing frames and a lot of other cool things.

We have a happy and satisfied board and parent group, as well as a good and close cooperation with PPR and CSI for children who need a little extra help.

Start date

The positions start on 1 December 2026, but we are happy to wait for the right candidate.

Working hours between 30-37 hours for pedagogues, and 35-37 hours for the department head.
