Educator for a nursery at Børnehuset Regnbuen

About the workplace

Børnehuset Regnbuen is a self-governing institution for children aged 0–6 years. In the nursery, we currently have 16 children.

Our vision is to be a heart space in the middle of Varnæs/Bovrup, where high professionalism and warmth go hand in hand. In practice, this means that we meet the children with presence, clarity and respect and help them find security, belief in themselves and a place in the community.

With us you have the opportunity to use both the outdoor space on our large playground, the local area and our own gym hall in your pedagogical work. We are outdoors in all kinds of weather, explore nature and make room for sensory experiences. Inside we create space for movement, creativity, play and calm moments.

About the job

You will become part of the nursery team, where you together with your colleagues plan, implement and evaluate the pedagogical work.

Your professional expertise comes into play throughout the day: when you help a child enter into a game, support language at the lunch table or create calm and security during bedtime. You participate in practical tasks and have daily contact with the parents about their child’s everyday life.

Your tasks

• Create secure relationships and support the children's well-being and development.
• Plan play and activities based on the children's interests and needs.
• Help the children participate in play and communities.
• Use nature, senses and movement in everyday life.
• Observe the children's development and evaluate the learning environments with your colleagues.
• Collaborate with parents and relevant professionals about the individual child.

About you

We expect that you

• are a trained educator and want to work with children aged 0–3 years
• can create secure relationships and adapt your approach to each child
• take initiative and follow up on shared agreements
• can reflect on your practice and adjust it together with your colleagues
• communicate openly and respectfully with parents and colleagues
• participate actively in both outdoor life, play and daily practical tasks.

It is an advantage if you

• have experience with nursery children
• have an interest in nature, language, motor skills or creative activities.

Salary and employment terms

• Place of employment: Børnehuset Regnbuen Bovrup, Bytoften 13, 6200 Aabenraa.
• Working hours: 37 hours per week.
• Start date: 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.
• Salary and employment: According to the applicable collective agreement.

Please note that before employment a criminal record certificate will be obtained, and that the employment will be conditional on that certificate being satisfactory.
