About the job

Educator for our lovely preschool is sought

Myretuen – there is always room for presence and laughter

  • A staffing level that ensures there is enough time – also during the late shifts
  • A group of colleagues who are always ready to help across the kindergarten and the nursery
  • A flexibility that makes the duty roster add up, so it also fits your other life
  • A house that works from a child-centered view, where ”children and young people do the best they can with the competencies they have. It is the adults' responsibility to involve children and young people in positive communities and learning environments with equal access to explore, develop and thrive”.

Is that important to you too? It is part of what we value most at Myretuen. And you are very welcome to that as well.

Get to know us better

”There is room for diversity and to be yourself. If there is something I find difficult, there is always someone who says – we’ll fix it together.” This is something Lonnie, who is an educator in the nursery, is happy about.

"If I have an idea for a project, there is support to try it out. For example motor skills in the forest, which is a project I have helped start. Here there was a need to take individual children out and do a different form of motor skills with them." This tells Lars, an educator in the kindergarten.

That describes very well the atmosphere and the collaboration that exists at Myretuen. We are a large house with 42 nursery children and 79 kindergarten children.

We have some physical spaces with lots of room, so there is space for both calm and immersion and for play and movement.

Get an image of your new daily life

We open at 6.45 on one floor, where the first children are just arriving. From 9 o’clock you and your colleagues are checked in on your room, and after a morning gathering the forenoon activities begin.

There are often small projects across the house, as well as a weekly activity we call running games, which focuses on movement. Perhaps there is also a group cycling to nature school on the electric cargo bikes or some going next door to greet the horses. There may also be some on the playground and a group playing in the room.

”When you can just sit and enjoy the children’s play, and see that they are moving forward. It’s a pure adrenaline kick – because it’s so fantastic to see that what we try to teach them, they carry forward.” This makes our educator Diana especially happy.

At lunchtime we sit in the same small groups, and focus on the pedagogical meal and our culture around meals.

Your upcoming colleagues also value

  • The good working hours. We continuously adjust the duty roster so that it suits whether we have more morning or afternoon children. We always make it work so it also fits for us employees.
  • That there is enough time. We can be present and feel that we can deliver a good piece of work
  • That you are well received as a newcomer. Our deputy head is your mentor and for the first 14 days she accompanies you around.
  • That we have close collaboration on the transition from nursery to kindergarten
  • The weekly professional/study meetings

What you bring

  • You are a trained educator.
  • You want to be part of a house where we always make things work – precisely because we see and help each other.
  • A house where new knowledge is brought into play and where we are curious about our practice.
  • A house with proud educators.

Would you be our new colleague?

We hope that what you have read has made you even more curious. We would rather gladly invite you for a cup of coffee (or tea) so you can meet us and see our house before applying. And if you have questions, call our leader Hasna Zayoum on the phone 43 28 61 30/24 61 77 20 or deputy head Sussie Keller on 21 33 2717
