Educator who wants to help create a good childhood at Duponts Gård

Would you like to help create a daily life where presence, curiosity and small groups of children make a difference? And would you like to use nature, culture and the city as pedagogical learning spaces? Then you may be our new colleague at Duponts Gård.

Our educator, who has been with us for more than 30 years, is retiring at the end of December. We are therefore looking for an educator from 1 January 2027 in one of our nursery groups.

An institution with the city and nature right outside the door

Duponts Gård is located in Fredericia's city centre close to the beach, the ramparts, the Kastellet and Fredericia Station. We actively use the surrounding environment and the city's many opportunities for experiences, play and learning.

We have four children’s groups: two nursery groups for children from 0 to 3 years and two flex groups for children from just over 3 to 6 years.

With us you become part of a daily life with

• Singing, movement and visual arts in collaboration with Den Kreative Skole, where children and staff participate in teaching on Tuesdays and Thursdays
• An weekly trip to the warm-water pool in the health center for our upcoming schoolchildren
• Play and movement in the health center's gym hall once a week for both older and younger children.

Presence, relationships and room for diversity

We see every child as unique and valuable. Together with the parents, we work to create safe frames around the good child life.

We place emphasis on diversity and meet each other’s cultures with curiosity. Relationship work and small groups of children are central in our practice, because we know that children thrive and develop best in close-knit communities.

We follow the children’s tracks, take their zone of proximal development as a starting point, and create learning environments that support well-being, development, learning and formation. Our activities are based on what concerns the children and the world around us.

We work with the starting point of the politically adopted strategies and the strengthened pedagogical curriculum. The staff group has undergone a upskilling program with neuro-pedagogical relational pedagogy as the focus, and we are in the process of implementing it in our pedagogical foundation.

Time for both children and professional preparation

In Fredericia Municipality’s day-care institutions we work with annual norms. This means that in the work planning time is set aside for, among other things, staff meetings, planning, curriculum work and meetings with parents and partners. A 37-hour contract therefore does not mean you have all 37 hours on the weekly agenda.

Salary and employment conditions

In accordance with the applicable collective agreement between KL and the negotiating organization.

When employed, a criminal record check will be obtained. The employment is conditional on the check being without remarks of significance for performing the specific position.

Child certificate

When employed in work with children and young people, a child certificate is obtained. The employment is conditional on a child certificate without remarks.

Fredericia Municipality is a tobacco-free workplace.

The position is 37 hours per week. Based on Fredericia Municipality’s personnel policy, there is the possibility for dialogue about individual preferences for flexibility in working hours and the organization of work.
