Some children and young people need more than a standard school day.

They need adults who can create calm when something becomes difficult. Adults who can look beyond behaviour, hold on to the relationship, and at the same time be clear about the boundaries.

That is the kind of educator we are looking for at Kompasset.

Kompasset is part of Behandlingsskolerne, and with us educators, teachers, psychologists and management work closely together to create a school day where pupils can develop academically, socially and personally. The interdisciplinary collaboration around the students' treatment and schooling is a central part of the work.

Your most important task is the relationship

As an educator at Kompasset you will be a central adult in the students' everyday life.

You must be able to create safety and predictability, but also be curious about what lies behind when a child or a young person reacts in a way that can be difficult to understand.

We believe in clear boundaries and warm relationships.

And we believe that pedagogical work is also treatment work. You will therefore be part of translating the students' treatment goals into concrete practice in the school day and working systematically with, among other things, relationships, structure and environmental therapy.

At Kompasset we work purposefully to strengthen our shared understanding of the treatment work, our view of children, and the calming pedagogy. In our professional work, elements include, among others, Low Arousal, environmental therapy and mentalizing communication.

• is strong in relationship work and can build trust in children and young people
• can be calm and clear, even when situations become difficult
• is curious about behaviour rather than quickly drawing conclusions about it
• can work in a structured way and create predictability
• wants to work in a treatment-oriented manner and translate professional goals into everyday practice
• can reflect on your own practice and bring it into play together with your colleagues
• sees interdisciplinary collaboration as a strength
• can collaborate respectfully and professionally with parents.

It is advantageous if you already have experience in the specialist area, psychiatry, neurodivergence or treatment work. But the most important is that you are eager to learn and develop your practice together with us.

You will not be on your own

Working with our students requires high professionalism, and therefore you must be able to rely on each other.

At Kompasset, different professional backgrounds work closely around the students. As an educator you contribute, among other things, to the students' treatment reporting together with teachers and the responsible psychologists, just as you become part of the collaboration with parents and relevant partners around the student.

We also work purposefully with a shared structure, high professional standards and social support. The leadership works closely with practice and focuses on both the pedagogical and professional development in daily life.

This also means that we do not expect you to have all the answers from your first day at work.

We expect, however, that you are curious, take responsibility and want to develop yourself together with us.

About the position

The position is as an educator at Kompasset in Vanløse.

Start date: The position is ideally filled by January 1, 2027, but preferably earlier if possible.
