About the job

At Klostermarkens Børnehus we are seeking, as of January 1, 2027, an experienced pedagogue for 37 hours for our kindergarten.

We are looking for you who get a bit faster heartbeat when someone says "preschool work", and who sees working with the oldest children in kindergarten as one of the most important and exciting aspects of our profession.

Who are we?

Klostermarkens Børnehus is a certified nature and sustainability institution with room for 70 children spread across a toddler group and a kindergarten.

The house contains two toddler rooms and two kindergarten rooms. The kindergarten consists of about 45 children aged 3-6 years, and it is here you will spend your daily time. Although you will primarily be attached to the kindergarten, we are one house with close cross-room collaboration, where community, helping each other, and professional sparring are a natural part of daily life.

Our pedagogical foundation is built on relationships, Tryghedscirklen, LUN (Play, Development and Presence) and a strong view of children, where we believe that all children have value and do their best according to the prerequisites they have. This view of children is the centerpiece of our interaction with the children.

What will your tasks be?

You will be attached to our kindergarten with children aged 3-6 years, but your primary area of responsibility will be working with the oldest children and bridging to school. Preschool children from both rooms are gathered about two mornings per week, where they participate in planned activities and play that support the development of competencies and skills relevant to a good transition to after-school care (SFO).

Each year you, together with an experienced and professionally strong colleague, will have responsibility for the preschool group. You will jointly ensure a solid, systematic, and development-oriented preschool program that year after year gives the children the best conditions for the transition to school.

Therefore, we are not just looking for a pedagogue who would like to work with preschool children – we are looking for a pedagogue who is passionate about it.

A pedagogue who can see the value in targeted programs, strong learning environments, children's communities, school readiness, formation, independence, and everything in between.

Who will be your colleagues?

It is almost a shame to reveal it all in advance, but here is a small preview

Sofie will be your fixed preschool partner. She has many years of experience with preschool work, and she is passionate about it. She is the Danish champion in height swings and robber stories, and her laughter and professionalism resonate through the walls of the whole house.

In your own room you will have the pleasure of

Mette , an educational assistant where there is a very short path from thought to action. She is passionate about developing physical learning environments, rarely sits still, and has structure as a middle name. If something can be developed, Mette has likely already had an idea.

And then there is Sabrina , a reflective pedagogue with high professional quality, a strong focus on the child’s perspective and an open, sincere curiosity about others’ perspectives. She is also always ready for a professional discussion over a good cup of coffee.

In addition, the rest of the house is filled with various exciting professionalities and personalities—you’ll have to wait to hear about them.

We hope that you

  • Are a trained pedagogue - this is a requirement
  • Have experience with kindergarten children, preferably the oldest
  • Have knowledge of LUN and COS-P
  • Have experience with and a particular interest in preschool work
  • Have the capacity to be at child height
  • Can work systematically and translate pedagogical goals into practice
  • Possess a good deal of structure and understand how beneficial it is for the children
  • Have an eye for both the community and the individual child
  • Are professionally curious and actively contribute to development
  • Desire to be part of a strong colleague community where we help each other and highlight each other
  • Focus on good communication and are curious about others’ perspectives
  • Can work independently, but at the same time also take on others’ tasks and be open to others’ input
  • Have experience with a safe, respectful and professional parent collaboration – including parent-teacher conversations
  • Can stay calm in pressured situations
  • Have a natural eye for opportunities and solutions rather than limitations

What do you get with us?

You don’t just get a job.

  • You get the opportunity to leave your professional mark on one of the most important years in the children’s lives
  • You become part of a dedicated staff group with high ambitions for the children, plenty of humor in daily life, and colleagues who can both laugh at themselves and discuss pedagogy with great zeal
  • We work on annual norms and all staff have weekly preparation time
  • About 15 colleagues who make each other look good – and who see differences as a strength
  • A leader who is present, listening and decisive
  • A colleague group where everyone has a pedagogical education, and where sparring in daily life is always close at hand
  • A house where we help each other across the daily routine and have a focus on optimal resource use
  • An workplace with the most fantastic outdoor areas where kitchen garden, greenhouse, firepit house, forest, football field, etc. are part of daily life in the kindergarten
  • A house with a meal system, where we have a production kitchen and the most amazing cook mother

If all of this sounds like something for you, do not hesitate to send an application.
