About the job

Do you want to work somewhere where there is time for the individual resident, room for your professionalism, and the opportunity to shape the development of a completely new residential facility?

At Dahliahuset in Greve Municipality we are seeking engaged pedagogues and occupational therapists who want to help create safe and meaningful everyday lives for adults with extensive disabilities.

With us you will have the opportunity to work with 1:1 support as the starting point in day and evening hours , participate in a strong interdisciplinary community and develop your professional skills through competence development and external supervision.

We offer flexible hours, the possibility of shifts up to 10 hours, and work every third weekend.

We are looking for new colleagues from 1 December 2026, but if you can only start 1 January 2027, we would still love to hear from you.

Welcome to Dahliahuset

Dahliahuset is a newly established residential facility in Greve Municipality with room for six adults with extensive and complex disabilities, including multi-handicap. The first two residents are planned to move in on December 1, 2026.

Residents may have extensive needs for support with communication, personal care, mobility and participation in everyday life.

We work in interdisciplinary resident teams with 1:1 support as the starting point in day and evening hours. This provides opportunities for presence, continuity, and individually tailored interventions.

You work closely with the individual resident, but never work alone with the task. We help each other across teams and share responsibility for all residents in the house.

Our professional foundation

Based on Greve Municipality’s value framework we work recovery-oriented and rehabilitative with a focus on residents’ self-determination, resources and opportunities for a meaningful life.

Our professional approach includes, among others

  • LA2u (Low Arousal 2 – supported) with a focus on well-being, energy management and prevention of stress states.
  • Neuropedagogy and neuropsychological understanding , where the interventions are adapted to the individual resident’s prerequisites.
  • Alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) with a focus on understanding and supporting residents’ individual communication forms.
  • Visual structure and individual action instructions , creating recognisability and security.

We also work with sensory rooms, assistive devices and welfare technology to strengthen residents’ participation opportunities, communication and quality of life.

We prioritize professional reflection and development, and you will receive introduction and training tailored to residents’ needs and the concrete tasks.

Your tasks

As an employee at Dahliahuset you will be an important part of the residents’ daily lives. You will, among other things:

  • Create safe relationships and support residents’ well-being and self-determination.
  • Work with individual communication, structure and meaningful activities.
  • Perform personal care, caregiving and transfers according to current instructions.
  • Use relevant assistive devices and welfare technology.
  • Contribute to professional documentation and collaborate with relatives, colleagues and other professionals.

We want to actively bring both pedagogical and occupational therapy competencies into play. Relationship work, communication, sensory processing, activity analysis and assistive devices are all important elements in our joint effort.

Who are you?

We are primarily looking for trained pedagogues and occupational therapists, preferably with experience from the specialized social sector.

Unskilled workers can also be considered if they have relevant practical experience with adults with multi-handicap or similarly extensive care and support needs.

We value that you

  • Meet the residents with respect, presence and professional curiosity.
  • Can work independently while contributing to close interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Can translate professional knowledge and experience into concrete practice.
  • See personal care and caregiving as a natural part of the job.
  • Are keen to help develop a strong shared professional culture.

Experience with LA2u, neuropedagogy, AAC or sensory processing is an advantage, but not a requirement. We also value your motivation and willingness to learn.

What you get with us

  • Time for the individual resident with 1:1 support as the starting point in day and evening hours.
  • Interdisciplinary resident teams and colleagues who help each other.
  • External supervision , staff meetings every two weeks and relevant professional development.
  • Opportunity to influence the development of a new specialized residential facility.
  • Good physical premises with sensory room and a focus on assistive devices and welfare technology.
  • A workplace where professionalism, collaboration and a good working environment are prioritized.

Working hours and employment

We offer as a starting point positions of 30–37 hours per week , but are open to discussing other hours.

We know that balance between work and private life is important. Therefore we strive for flexible shift planning, where employees’ wishes as far as possible align with residents’ needs.

The working hours include rotating day and evening shifts and work every third weekend. By agreement there is the possibility of shifts up to 10 hours within current working time rules.

Starting date: Ideally 1 December 2026, but we are happy to wait until 1 January 2027 for the right candidate.

Salary and terms of employment: According to the applicable collective agreement.

It is part of Greve Municipality’s employment policy that a criminal record check is presented and references are collected as part of the employment process.

Do you want to join?

If you would like to use your competencies and make a difference in the residents’ daily lives, we would love to hear from you.

Please tell us about your experience with the target group, what motivates you to apply, and how many hours you want.

Application deadline: Sunday 15 November 2026.

We will conduct interviews on an ongoing basis and therefore encourage you to send your application as soon as possible.

Applications and CVs are submitted via Greve Municipality’s electronic recruitment system.
