About the job

Marjatta Skolehjemmet søger pædagoger til børnegruppen Bøgen

Are you passionate about making a difference for children and young people with developmental disabilities? Do you have a warm heart, strong relational skills and a desire to join a meaningful pedagogical community? Then you might be the new colleague we are looking for.

Bøgen is a 24-hour group divided into three departments: Mikro Bøgen with one young person, Lille Bøgen with two children, and Store Bøgen with six children/young people. The children and young people are aged between 7 and 17 years.

As a pedagogue you will be attached to all groups and, at the same time, be part of a large staff group. The Bøgen children’s group is one of three children’s groups at Marjatta Skolehjemmet. The children each have different challenges, different resources and therefore different needs and support requirements.

As a pedagogue in Bøgen, your first priority is the well-being, needs and welfare of the children and the young people. You actively contribute to creating good relationships with other people, and you believe in the good intention behind others’ actions. You are good at creating security and the rhythm that frames each child’s needs and daily form.

We are looking for two new colleagues – preferably with different competences. One of the profiles we are seeking has musical abilities and experience playing one or more instruments. We also want to strengthen our work with outdoor life, so it is advantageous if you are interested in and have experience involving nature, the forest and the beach in the pedagogical work.

We offer

  • A structured and rhythmic everyday life with care, humor and meaningful and practical tasks
  • A workplace where you are met by happy, curious and expectant children and young people
  • A well-functioning, welcoming, dedicated, cheerful and hardworking staff group with high well-being
  • A noticeable and present colleague group, and the opportunity for ongoing professional sparring and supervision

We expect that you

  • Are trained as a pedagogue, preferably with knowledge of Steiner pedagogy, or a desire for further education/upskilling
  • Have experience or interest in working with maltreated/neglected children/young people
  • Have the ability to articulate yourself in writing, and be used to documenting the professional effort
  • Are a team player, curious, listening and meet the children/the young people and their families where they are, with the starting point that every person has a healthy core
  • Are keen and able to take part in everyday practical tasks, including cleaning and personal care
  • Are able to put yourself in residents’ and relatives’ shoes and act humanely, ethically and professionally considered
  • Are reliable, flexible regarding start times and have no problem with rotating and late working hours, including night shifts
  • Are professionally reflective and help raise both colleagues and the overall pedagogical work
  • Have a driving license

Start date : 1 July 2026 or by agreement.

Salary and employment terms : The positions are 32 hours and the salary is according to the applicable collective agreement and locally agreed preliminary terms.

Application procedure : Applications with CV are uploaded via our website “Ledige Stillinger”. We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis and we close the advertisement when we have found the right candidates.

Further information : If you have any questions regarding the application, please contact group leader Anne Katrine Schmidt Hansen at email [email protected]

It should be noted that a relevant criminal and background check will be obtained upon employment.

Please note that Marjatta is a smoke/tobacco-free workplace.
