Educators sought for a combined position at the school and SFO at Pindstrupskolen

Would you like to help create development, well-being and opportunities for participation for children with special needs - throughout their school day and after-school activities?

At Pindstrupskolen we are hiring from 1 January 2027 pedagogues for permanent full-time positions in a combined role between school and SFO (after-school club).

As a pedagogue at Pindstrupskolen you will be part of the child’s entire day. You will participate both in the teaching part and in the SFO, where together with teachers and other professional staff you create coherence, well-being, learning and development for the pupils. We are therefore looking for pedagogues who see value in working across school and leisure pedagogy and who want to contribute to a common pedagogical stance around the child.

Who are we?

Pindstrupskolen is the special school of Syddjurs Municipality with about 130 pupils.

The pupil group includes among others children and young people with

• difficulties within the autism spectrum
• ADHD and attention difficulties
• specific and general learning difficulties
• social and emotional difficulties
• reduced physical functioning

Our pedagogical approach is based on an appreciative approach, individually tailored learning pathways and social cognitive training. Teachers and pedagogues work closely together from a broad understanding of disability with a focus on creating learning environments that support the pupils’ academic, social and personal development.

We believe that the best development opportunities are created when the adults around the pupils cooperate across school and SFO. Therefore, we work with relationships, learning, well-being and communities throughout the day.

We emphasize that you

• are passionate about working with children in the special area, particularly in the early years and middle school
• see value in working both in the teaching part and in the SFO
• can create coherence in the child's day across different learning and leisure arenas
• see sensory-motor activities as an important fundamental effort in working with the children and the importance of a calm nervous system
• love creating activities with movement and participation opportunities that engage the pupils
• believe that all children do their best according to their prerequisites
• can look beyond behavior and meet the pupils with calm, curiosity and regulatory support when emotions run high
• see written goal setting, documentation and reflection as a natural part of the pedagogical work
• have experience with interdisciplinary collaboration
• prefer to have experience with alternative and augmentative communication, for example GRID

Practical information

The positions are full-time with a substantial portion of the working time located in the school’s SFO. It is therefore important that you are keen on both school and leisure-pedagogical tasks and see the value in following the pupils through the entire day.

The working hours extend to 4:00 PM on several days, and there are evening meetings scheduled throughout the school year.

Appointment is made in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Criminal and child safeguarding checks will be conducted upon hiring.
