Forsvarets Vedligeholdelsestjenestes hovedopgave er at vedligeholde, reparere og modificere Forsvarets materiel samt gennemføre større installations- og renoveringsopgaver. Derudover skal vi levere vedligeholdelsespersonel til værnenes enheder i forbindelse med deres operative opgaveløsning og beredskaber herhjemme og i udlandet.

Til at løse denne opgave er vi ca. 1700 motiverede civile og militære medarbejdere, som er geografisk fordelt på garnisoner i hele Danmark og indsat sammen med værnenes operative enheder rundt omkring i verden.

Om uddannelse

You will spend time both at the classroom and in practical training. You rotate between vocational school and practical training at your service location, where you are apprenticed as an electronics technician, and will acquire the practical skills and professional competence. Parts of the education may take place away from the placement.

We expect that you have, either already or upon employment, completed the basic course Electricity, Control and IT with the direction Electronics and Low Voltage Education.

Responsibility and quality are important values in the Defense, and we expect you to take responsibility for and contribute to shaping the tasks you are presented with. It requires that you put energy into your education, and that you are an engaged and proactive person who enjoys collaborating with others.

It is essential that you also have the ability and willingness to work independently, and that you want to work in a dynamic environment where there will be a mix of workshop work and school training. In addition, you must be reliable, have a flair for technology, mechanics and tool understanding. You must be able to read and write Danish as well as have an understanding of technical English and possibly German.

Ansættelsesvilkår

Employment and remuneration are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees' Organization. The state area (OAO-S collective agreement). Agreement for Craftsmen and Technicians.

For you who are under 25 years old, your starting salary will be calculated based on any previous education and experience, but will minimum amount to 13,099.57 DKK per month. If you are 25 years or older, your salary is 22,706.53 DKK per month. There is a employer-funded pension scheme attached to the position.

As an employee in the Defense, you are subject to special terms. You must, among other things, be security cleared, and maintain the security clearance throughout the employment process.

As an employee you are obligated to perform service outside the country, including with units in international operations for participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacebuilding, humanitarian and other similar operations.

Forsvarets Vedligeholdelsestjeneste

The Defense Maintenance Service is a quality management and occupational safety conscious service organization that maintains, repairs and modifies the Defence's equipment. Part of the company is ISO and occupational safety certified today, which is expected to be rolled out to the entire organization. The authority employs about 1700 employees.

The Defense Maintenance Service consists of a Maintenance Division with six maintenance areas distributed geographically across the country, and a Planning and Coordination Division located in Brabrand. The six Maintenance Areas specialize in repairing, maintaining and modifying specific material systems within their professional pillar.

The Planning and Coordination Division consists of a Business Department and an Operations Department, which handle coordinating planning, training, management, controlling and development of the Defense Maintenance Service. In addition to repairing and maintaining the Defense's materiel, the Defense Maintenance Service supports Defense operations and missions with well-trained military technical personnel who are loaned to the Defense's units in accordance with agreed planning or ad hoc in special cases.
