About the job

Will you create safe environments, strong relationships and meaningful activities for adults with developmental disabilities? We are looking for a responsible and engaged employee for a full-time position of 37 hours per week.

About 17’eren

17'eren is part of Spektrum Sundbyvæksthus and a § 104 activity and social interaction offer for adults with lifelong developmental disabilities. We are 13 residents and five staff, and we place great value on community, presence and the individual’s well-being.

Our physical surroundings are good and built around common rooms and smaller seating areas when and if the resident needs a little more shielding. We have a few individual rooms for residents who need to be able to withdraw completely.

We offer activities targeted to the individual’s wishes, needs and development level, and relational interaction to the extent the resident is able and wishes it.

About the job

As an educational staff member you will be an important part of our team, where we work closely together to create safe and developing frameworks for our residents.

The target group is residents with a moderate to severe developmental disability aged 18 to 70. Most residents have an autism diagnosis, and several have co-diagnoses with ADHD, anxiety and epilepsy. The resident group needs relationally strong staff who can accommodate and help regulate the resident’s arousal.

Everyday life is built around the resident’s needs and wishes. We place strong emphasis on safe frameworks through structure and visual daily schedules and work daily with the traffic light and demand adjustment.

Our professional approach is based on

  • KRAP and the appreciative approach
  • LA principles and demand adjustment
  • Neuropedagogical principles
  • Sensory profiles

We work with co-leadership in teams and individual areas of responsibility. With us there is room for you to take ownership of specific tasks and help shape our common direction.

Professional sparring and ongoing upskilling of competencies are targeted.

We are looking for you, who

  • have a background as either pedagogue, pedagogical assistant, occupational therapist or social and health care assistant
  • are professionally grounded in the pedagogical work, especially regarding autism and psychiatric overlays
  • have experience or interest in working with KRAP, LA principles and demand adjustment as well as neuropedagogical principles and sensory profiles
  • are responsible, reliable and can handle both planning and execution of the daily pedagogical and practical tasks.
  • are a team player who thrives on working closely with colleagues towards common goals and a shared feedback culture
  • are adaptable and can put yourself into play with regard to the whole of Spektrum
  • actively seek knowledge and sparring when needed

We offer

  • a thorough introduction period, where questions and feedback are part of everyday life
  • an organization with room for development, professional sparring and competency development
  • a dynamic work environment where development and collaboration are at the forefront
  • a strong collegial community, where there is room for diversity and professional exchange
  • a work community built on our co-leadership principles, where everyone has individual areas of responsibility

We see advantages in that you have a driving license and can contribute with outings for the resident group.

Salary and employment terms

The position is a permanent position with a working time of 37 hours per week from 8.00-15.00 on weekdays with the exception of Wednesday, where there is a team meeting until 17.00. Start date desired 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

You are employed under the agreement for pedagogical staff, occupational therapists or physiotherapists or social and health care personnel depending on your educational background.
