About the job

Permanent position with commencement on 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible. We envision a employment of about 35 hours per week, but are open to adjusting the number of hours according to the wishes and opportunities of the right applicant.

Are you a committed and relationship-focused pedagogue who is passionate about children's well-being, learning and community – both at school and during leisure? Do you want to be part of an ambitious school where after-school care (SFO) and teaching are closely linked? Then maybe you are the one we are looking for!

We are looking for a positive and creative school pedagogue who, with energy and professional expertise, can contribute to creating participation opportunities for all children – both in teaching and in SFO.

About the job

You will be attached to both teaching and SFO and will have a central role as class pedagogue. You will participate in a close and committed team collaboration with teachers and pedagogues about the children's learning, well-being and communities – all day long.

The SFO is not a supplement to the school – it is an integrated part of the children's daily life and our shared core task. We work purposefully to create cohesion between teaching, play and leisure, so that the children experience wholeness, meaning and strong relationships.

About Engdalskolen SFO

SFO Engdalskolen is a large and lively SFO with about 490 children from 0nd–3rd grade and around 32 dedicated employees.

We are organized as

  • The Growth House (0–1st grade)
  • The Haven (2–3rd grade)
  • and our fantastic outdoor area The Edge

The SFO is characterized by high professionalism, strong children's communities and a clear focus on the importance of play for children's development and formation.

About Engdalskolen

Engdalskolen is a diverse and attractive public school with about 1050 students from 0–9th grade and about 100 employees.

We are the local area’s preferred school, and that obliges. We work purposefully with

  • strong children's communities
  • delivery opportunities for all
  • a close and committed collaboration between subject groups
  • to develop courage and life skills in our students

We believe that relationships are the foundation for both learning and well-being – and that pedagogues play a completely central role in this.

Your profile

We are looking for an educator who

  • is academically well-grounded and thrives in both teaching and SFO – with a view to creating coherence between teaching, play and communities
  • has an appreciative view of children, works relationally and inclusively and creates participation opportunities for all
  • is passionate about activities, play and strong children's communities
  • collaborates closely with colleagues and parents about well-being and class community
  • is flexible, constructive and contributes positively to the working environment
  • meets the children clearly and respectfully (without scolding) and preferably brings special competencies into play, for example in outdoor life, music, theater, or something completely different

Why you should choose us

We offer

  • a workplace with room to breathe, strong community and a clear pedagogical direction
  • a school where pedagogues are an integrated and valued part of the core task
  • close teamwork, influence and autonomy in task solving
  • focus on developing broad children's communities in both teaching and SFO
  • a close, flexible leadership and good physical surroundings close to nature by Brabrand Lake
