About the job

Do you want to be part of a strong year group team, where collaboration, flexible teaching methods and shared responsibility for the year group's learning and well-being are the foundation of everyday life? Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for.

At Engstrandskolen we are seeking a mathematics teacher for our 2nd year group who is passionate about mathematics and about creating high well-being and good learning environments for the school's youngest pupils. We are a school with a strong focus on collaboration, both in daily teaching, in co-teaching, in joint activities within the year group and in the close interaction between the school and the after-school care (SFO).

At Engstrandskolen we believe that children learn and develop best in safe communities where relationships, curiosity and participation are central. Therefore we work in the early years with a flexible organisation, where classes and pupils are part of a larger year-group community and meet varied learning environments through project work, workshop teaching and common activities. Our teaching takes its starting point in the children's different prerequisites, and we plan learning sequences that allow for both deepening, movement, creativity and strong participation opportunities for all children.

We place great emphasis on collaboration among the professionals around the children. Therefore we work closely together on planning, implementation and evaluation of the teaching. We see diversity in the staff's competences as a strength and believe that shared responsibility, professional sparring and a high degree of collaboration create the best conditions for both children's well-being and learning.

We prioritise values such as Community, Love of Learning and Courage.

At Engstrandskolen you should be prepared to think aloud. It makes the school even better. You must be academically engaged, and you must be prepared to do things together.
