EUC Syd is seeking a technical service and workshop employee

Are you a mechanic, technically strong and the type who finds a solution when something isn’t working? Then we have a versatile position for you.

About the job

Your everyday life will be varied and practical. You will work with buildings, technical installations, machines, vehicles and workshop tasks. You will also play a central role in the maintenance of our fleet, which includes, among other things, trucks, vans, forklifts and other vehicles.

You must be able to combine classic service and caretaking tasks with your technical and mechanical expertise.

You will work closely with technical staff, teachers, tradespeople and other colleagues. Some tasks you will solve yourself, while others require coordination with external workshops and suppliers.

Your tasks

You will have among other things the following responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of EUC Syd’s fleet, including trucks, vans, forklifts and other vehicles
• Troubleshooting, minor repairs, preparation and ongoing maintenance of vehicles, machines and technical equipment
• Operations and maintenance of buildings, workshops with associated equipment, facilities and outdoor areas
• Practical service and caretaking tasks at our addresses
• Assessment and coordination of tasks that must be solved internally or by external workshops, tradespeople or suppliers
• Recording and follow-up of service, repairs, maintenance and tasks in digital systems, for example Dalux

Who are you?

We envision that you

• are trained as a mechanic or have another relevant technical education
• have solid mechanical and technical understanding
• have experience with maintenance and repair of vehicles, machines or technical equipment
• preferably have experience with larger vehicles, trucks, forklifts or similar
• are practically minded, good at troubleshooting and find solutions when something isn’t functioning
• work independently and take responsibility to complete tasks
• work in a structured way, have an overview and can prioritise when several tasks arise simultaneously
• are service-minded and good at collaborating with many different professional groups
• have a flair for IT and are willing to use digital systems in daily work

It is also an advantage if you have a relevant technical further education or experience from a similar role.

The most important thing, however, is that you are technically curious and willing to take responsibility.

Salary and employment terms

Employment is governed by the applicable collective agreement.

There is a probationary period and an attractive pension scheme attached to the position.
