About the job

Our capital – your opportunities – become an event coordinator apprentice.

Do you want to work with events in music, art, sport and culture?

Are you passionate about planning, developing and delivering events in collaboration with creative teams?

Then you might be one of our new event coordinator apprentices.

The Culture and Leisure Administration is looking for two event coordinator apprentices who start on December 1, 2026. The education lasts two years and alternates between internship and school. The practical part takes place at Culture and Leisure Nørrebro.

Education location Nørrebro: Culture and Leisure Nørrebro (KFN)

Nørrebro is a vibrant and diverse district where culture thrives. Culture and Leisure Nørrebro therefore plays a central role as the district's cultural generator. A wide range of cultural, sports and library offerings are created here – developed for and with Copenhageners.

We place emphasis on collaboration with many different partners – whether it is associations, organizations or voluntary cultural entrepreneurs – and we always focus on good collaboration and on creating meaningful experiences for the citizens.

As a trainee at KFN you will mainly be attached to four culture houses: Kapelvej 44, Støberiet and Lygten Station - with headquarters at K44. You will work with a team of skilled colleagues on development, planning, operation and execution of both one-off and recurring events. In addition, we have a particular focus on new growth areas, socio-cultural activities, as well as children and youth activities.

About the job

As an event coordinator apprentice you will be part of a creative and dynamic industry where you help create cultural activities and experiences for Copenhageners. You will work on developing, planning and delivering both single and recurring events – a role that requires structure, collaboration skills and innovative thinking.

The education gives you insight into the entire process behind a successful event. You will learn project management in practice – from idea and planning to budget, collaboration, communication and evaluation.

We offer

  • a versatile education and a personal study plan which is continuously followed up by an apprentice supervisor
  • collaboration with dedicated artists, organizations, public institutions and associations
  • a working environment with skilled colleagues who are all passionate about the culture we create together.

We emphasize that you

  • have proof of completion of the qualifying basic course
  • are energetic, independent and have a good overview
  • are engaged in your education and can take responsibility for your own learning
  • have good collaboration skills and are service-minded
  • thrive in a dynamic and flexible work environment where tasks, locations and partners can change
  • can express yourself well both orally and in writing
  • are engaged in the society around you and have knowledge of the culture sector and creative environments.
  • are interested in engaging in the development of, among other things, youth culture

Salary and terms of employment

The weekly working hours are 37 hours, distributed flexibly and sometimes including evenings and weekends. Your salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable agreement for apprentices in the HK agreement. If you are under 25, the salary is approx. DKK 17,600 per month. If you are over 25, the salary is approx. DKK 26,900 per month. We will obtain criminal records and child protection clearance as part of the recruitment for positions in the City of Copenhagen.
