You step into the quality agenda in Copenhagen's elder care at an exciting time. Our political committee has approved a new model for quality follow-up, which among other things means a focus on early, data-driven detection of quality challenges, more consistent action, and that all nursing homes and home care units get linked to a quality partner. Being a quality partner can become one of your tasks.

We offer

You will become part of the Department of Quality and Citizen Safety, which reports to the Health and Care Administration in the City of Copenhagen. Here you will work with 12 engaged colleagues with different health and social science backgrounds. We work both at the office on Borups Allé and as partners at, among others, the nursing homes.

As a consultant in the department you will help support quality work at nursing homes, in home care, and at temporary placements in Copenhagen's elder care. The department's core task is to be the quality partner for management and key personnel in elder care. The quality partner collaborates with the units on systematic, data-driven quality follow-up and improvement work based on IHI’s improvement model. You will also be able to participate in auditing in areas such as medicine, documentation and hygiene, as well as provide practice-oriented support in using the care system Cura.

In the department we also teach the improvement model, the use of data, and drive networks for, among others, nursing home managers, home care managers and quality nurses. In addition, we coordinate work with inspections and incidents across the administration and work on developing and implementing various initiatives. We thus support both the strategic, political, and daily development of quality in elder care.

Your profile

We are seeking two different profiles. Regardless of profile, you are a colleague who enjoys collaborating with others, has a sense of structure, follows up tasks to the end, and contributes with a good mood. You also have a good deal of situational awareness and work with great respect for your colleagues’ reality. It is a plus, but not a requirement, that you can see yourself in both profiles.

Profile 1: Consultant with a health-professional background

• has a health-professional background, preferably supplemented with an academic qualification or relevant further education
• has a solid professional foundation and practical experience with quality work and improvements in elderly care, social care, or health care
• has in-depth experience with health professional documentation, preferably in Cura, and is motivated to learn to audit
• has experience with the improvement model, or may even be trained in it
• sees the value in working systematically, methodically and data-driven with quality development
• has experience translating and communicating data so that the target audience can use them in working with quality improvements
• can operate organizationally, both close to professional practice and in a large organization

Profile 2: Consultant with experience from a politically governed organization

• has a relevant academic education, preferably combined with a health-professional education and/or experience from elderly care, social care, or health care
• has experience from a politically governed organization, e.g. with project management, processes, facilitation and cross-cutting collaboration
• is interested in data-driven and methodological quality work and improvements in elder care and understands how to use data in your work
• has solid organizational experience from larger organizations and experience in and willingness to participate in practice-oriented environments
• perhaps has knowledge of or experience with the improvement model and can see yourself participating in our outreach work to some extent

Employment terms

Salary and employment terms according to applicable collective agreement and within the framework of local salary formation.

The positions are 37 hours and expected to be filled by January 1, 2027, and we look forward to welcoming you.
